Recommended Air Intake for my 2013 Speed3

Hi,

This is my first post as a Mazdaspeed3 owner (former Supra owner). I purchased my 2013 in July and I feel its time to start the upgrades. I am thinking a nice cold air intake, maybe a stage II? I saw a stage II over in CorkSport, what are you guys running with?

This has been beaten to death. Most if not all of your questions or soon to be questions have already been answered. Get a SRI. You can't go wrong with anyone of the vendors.

It depends on what u want to do, id go with a big intake, ud have to move your ECU but thats no big deal. If u want to stay stock k04 just get a 3inch, if you plan on going big turbo down the road just buy a 3.5 inch intake. JBR and HTP make some. Alot of vendors make 3 inch intakes too. All are great honestly. Save money and get a full intake so u wont have to buy an sri aaaaand a turbo inlet pipe. The large intakes are one piece so no need for turbo inalet pipes.

From what I've read some cai's can interfere with the piping of a fix if u plan on doing that later. Maybe something to consider. I have a Cobb sf intaka and it's great

its been beaten to death... that being said i'd go sri over cai. ive done cai before and its just more of a pain in the ass to do anything working on the car/cleaning the filter, it always seems to get in the way
