EDIT: Can you preload it for say 21 psi? What is the drawback of using the WG to control boost? I assume it would be safer because you are taking out one extra system (solenoid/mbc)? It would be cake to hook back up an MBC if you needed to. How hard is the WG to adjust when the turbo is on the car?

| Not Ranked : 0 score the kit with the lines is a breeze. you have to bend the oil feed line iirc and thats it. you cant adjust the iwg when the turbo is on the car. you would be better just using an mbc to dial in your boost for sure |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Ok will stick with my MBC. I probably should consider giving boost tuning a go but I just gave up after seeing how inaccurate load based tuning was (at least boost wise).

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Well in that case maybe I should get a 3 port EBC? I just don't want any of the issues I had with load based. Was a nightmare trying to get the boost dialed in.

| Not Ranked : 0 score nah the 2 port will do just fine, dialing in the boost with load based is pretty difficult. when i switched over to boost based the ecu has to perform less tasks to reach the required boost so you dont get any spike. load based you are trying to hit the target load before required boost leading to boost spike. these are just general statements but you get the point |

| Not Ranked : 0 score i think the reason though that im able to run the 2 port is because i have the bigger spring in the solenoid which means i barely use the solenoid to make boost. I was hitting 20 psi with spring pressure alone so hitting 22 psi means the solenoid barely has any work to do. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score ya when dustin was riding around with me tunning, the 2 port was crazy overestimated as with lower targets i hit boost cut at 25 psi lol. the spring was way efficient and we hardly had to use the solenoids full potential. We eased into going wot to make sure i wasnt boosting way crazy. Now that im more dialed in, im holding 22 psi to redline with an e85 tune untill my meth kit comes in and we can dyno tune. Im thinking 24 psi for the street with more timming. Car pulls hella crazy now. i dont regret it one bit. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Subbed! Franks car is fast as hell. Stock mani and just the 3076 made him one of the fastest cars here in ABQ! Late to the party as usual, but Eric was dead on! Other than that coolant line, we didn't have any issues. I was planning on doing the 3071 with iwg, but after I saw the way Franks pulled the other night, I just don't know! Only thing a 71 might give is a little quicker spool. I'm also down for a weekend Denver run! Eric is the brains, I can turn a wrench! Cant wait to get his on with the Nastiest ewg! Meth kit coming for me FTMFW!!!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Very nice. I've been debating on switching to a 76 instead of the 71 too. Only $100 more but you get some wiggle room down the road for moar powa. I wanted to wait til my tax refund next year but this thread is making me want to order it before the fall semester.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Two main reasons I will probably do the 3071... I want to spool quicker for street runs... I want. To use my cs tmic! Should flow enough without having to go with a fmic! Want to keep a "stockish" look!

| Not Ranked : 0 score Go with a bigger nozzle than a D07. I recommend at least a D10 for the 3071/3076.

Because you're going to a bigger turbo that flows alot more air, you will need to up the meth dosage in order for it to maintain its effectiveness at maintaining low BATs. I for one, flow a total of 12GPH (4xD03 nozzles) using a direct port setup. A caveat to running a larger nozzle is that you will run out of meth really quick. If you do decide to run a larger nozzle, I suggest switching to a MAF based meth controller. DO makes a voltage based controller that can hook up to the MAF and is better at managing meth injection based on airflow rather than boost. I am looking into this solution as well.
