| Not Ranked : 0 score It doesn't matter either way, but I can tune a car to get it running @ least with any bcs. Eventually, one might want to tune the car on a dyno, but I could @ least get things going if someone needed help with a 3" inlet maf curve, and the remainder of the tables in ATR. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score everything im going to be doing is a direct drop in. no fabbing oil or coolant lines. the only thing i have to fab is a screamer pipe. and bend one oil line used from my old ko4. even with the drop in kits you have to do this. i will show how to do that in my bt build |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Is there a break in procedure for installing a new turbo? Like once you get everything back together, don't you have to cycle oil through it by turning the engine over for a bit before starting it? And do you have to baby it for 500 miles or something like that?

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just got my turbo in today. Looks beastly. Also it looks like the oil line already has a rubber hose attached to it. Damn, this is really looking to be plug and play

| Not Ranked : 0 score I have a few questions that fall under the category of this thread title. So I hope it's ok for a short thread-jack. I'm going BT in a couple of months and this is the parts/setup I'm going with: ATP GT3071R IWG bolt on kit (ported) Steedspeed Mani COBB FMIC V2 CP-E 4" inlet pipe CP-E Xcel nano 3" SRI CP-E injector seals Autotech internals I have DP, RMM, BPV, ITV22 already. First of all, any thoughts regarding the setup? Something else I should need? Except for a tune... ![]() Second, is there any of the lines in the bolt on kit that are necessary to change to like steel braided or something? I know one line has to be bent but this doesn't seem like a problem for most of you guys, right? Any lines or couplers or other stuff from the bolt on kit that is nice to replace with something better? Third and final, I never got a hang of what happend to the turbo bracket that was made in Lennys thread. Does this have to be done or how do you other guys support the turbo from underneath? Never heard of this since that thread. Very thankful for your answers. Hoping to get this thing installed in about two months from now... Thanks again, Jonatan |

| Not Ranked : 0 score @mayer when you are doing your swap you will need a slight extension or a 45* coupler to come off the turbo to reach the hot pipe. the compressor housing on the 3076 and 3071 turbo is shorter then the k04 one causing the change. also about that brace the only time in my opinion to use that brace is when someone has a tubular manifold such as pg or dnp cause they arnt strong enough to support the weight of the turbo and will crack. since you are rocking the ss mani or even the stock manifold you will have no problem with that thing cracking or breaking. other then that your list looks money man. let me know if you have anymore questions. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score No worries man. That's what this thread is for. Only other thing I really think you would need would be a silicon extension for the hot pipe to the intercooler to the BT since the outlet sits lower. Edit: bah he beat me to it

And nothing with the bolt on kit that should be replaced? No crap hoses that I should change to steel braided with AN-fittings or something? If so, thats great ![]() Did you wrap all the hoses to/from the turbo with high temp tape or what parts did you wrap? What new gaskets do I need? From what I can see, the SS mani doesn't come with a new one. And the turbo doesn't either? I think I'm going to change those two and also the DP-one, while I'm down there... ![]() Thanks a million times Last edited by mayer; 08-09-2011 at 03:07 AM. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score @mayer you can resuse all the stock gaskets if you like. i had to buy a turbo to manifold gasket from mazda cause my car was missing on and that cost me 30 dollars. as far as the cobb fmic goes i think that 45* 2.2.5 reducer coupler coming off the turbo should work but we have only tested it with the cx racing kit. i didnt heat rap any of the lines as the lines atp sends are plenty stout to handle the heat. also you dont have to replace any other lines with stainless steel lines. the only thing i had to wrap with high temp heat was the power steering lines cause my ewg dump tube kinda points in that direction. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score 3076 should be arriving at my house shortly thanks to JP@edgeautosport.com. Just need to get the turbo to hot pipe connection squared away and I SHOULD be ready to go. I will pick up a DO7 nozzle shortly. I have decided to stay with an MBC but need advice. Right now on the K04 I have a JoeP and it works great. Should I reuse it for the 3076 or should I get a halman instead?
