installing the JBR 3" wide path. hooked up the hose from the boost control solenoid, tightening the clamp on the turbo, with some difficulty, took the ratchet of the bolt, wait a minute what was that? yep the hose to the boost control solenoid snapped off. Install instructions were in bright red letters. be careful don't snap it off. too late, fail.....but getting new one from dealer, but very impressed with JBR's kit, amazing how everything went together, ham fisted thou.................was able to power wash where I used to have a weeping oil leak , repaired an area affected by my battery blowing in 2009, sanded and painted rust reformer, it's just purtty now.guess I joined the club,a very special club

This I hope that you have an AP since you are installing a 3 inch intake. If so get a three port cheaper and better than the OEM piece

Stratified free map? I'm assuming you mean the S-OTS map? Those maps are designed to work with the JBR Power Path OEM sized intakes, not the 3" Wide Path.

You need to have a proper MAF calibration for that intake to work properly.

so I guess I misunderstood about the tune when I bought the 3' widepath. I need to purchase the $250.00 tune from Stratified? if so, will I be okay until I install the custom tune? as long as I stay out of it?

I watched them like 10 times before I even started messing w/ ATR.(didnt wanna fuck shit up)
but now I can and im not running like a rich pig.

Run better? Absolutely. With a properly calibrated MAF you can reliably hit your commanded AFR's

It will run better yes. Hence the word calibration. The OTS tunes are just to get you going in the right direction.
