Default TR8 Installed
Finally have my car back together; have about 400 miles on her currently with the new motor/build. Lots of time and effort went into it.. one thing I had lots of issues with was with the TR8 intercooler with CxRacing piping. I couldn't get it mounted properly. There's a local Nator who has his installed with the stock brackets from Cx, so I tried using that (didn't have a bench vice, so I used a 4lb deadblow hammer and a brick to manipulate the Cx brackets). Doing this actually worked, but the bolts I used happened to strip inside the brackets on the back of the radiator.. So the brackets were in place, but it was a PITA to get the bumper on. It kept pooping out since the intercooler was sagging. So I finally had time to get this mounted properly..

I started by grabbing a few different size L brackets from Home Depot. Found one that lined up flat on the crash bar and with the hole on the intercooler... marked the crash bar and drilled straight through it.

Here's the result!

Made this thread mainly for future people looking for this exact setup. Many people have said they have the CxRacing + TR8 racing combo, but I haven't seen any pics of it and how it was installed.

Well maybe I seen one, but it was very low quality, so at the very least, enjoy the HD

Fantastic to know lol. Wish I would have known about that. But can you even buy just the brackets from Cobb? If so, how much? Mine came out to ~$4 and a few bolts in the garage lol

Yes sir ordered just the brackets from Cobb when I was running the TR8 with PG piping.
Think I paid $25 for Cobb brackets .
