Default Turbo Blanket

Before ANYBODY starts saying there is no need for one, a turbo blanket lowers engine bay temps as well as assists with turbo spool time. thank you....

Anyways, does anybody know where i can find a K04 turbo blanket? I searched for a bit and couldnt find anything on the web regarding the K04, plenty for the larger turbos but nothing for the K04 - i actually found 1 or 2 for the K03

There is a universal on one ebay. The guy makes S M and L I think. I emailed him once and asked if it would work and he said yes.

there's a guy on here that wrapped everything he could and he's got a turbo blanket along with other reflective wraps. try searching.

Don't be a pussy... pull the turbo off, take off the hot side, and send it off to be thermal coated like a real man.

ive got a heat blanket on my manifold shield using the shield bolts to anchor it down and a reflective sheet underneath the intercooler facing the valve cover, it helps fight heat for a little bit but its been so hot lately the intercooler will still soak pretty quickly.

SubPar is right a good ceramic coat would definitely be more effective and probably easier on our oil since it seemingly has a rough time in our car.

hmmmmm lemmie get this straight. you want to increase spool on a turbo that spools before 3k? and keeping bay temps down? get an FMIC. your wasting your money on a turbo blanket unless your streetunitmark and your hotside DESERVES a turbo blanket.

DEI makes some. I think this mod, has full potential on keeping engine bay temps down. Who doesn't want a quicker spool? =D. Design Engineering, Inc. - DEI - CryO2 & Thermal Tuning Products They are the real innovators, not that thermo company. -_-
