i opened 3 blown k04 for fun and all where cooked around the exaust seal like this picture from the web:http://s321.photobucket.com/user/guh...03820.jpg.html http://s321.photobucket.com/user/guh...03813.jpg.html I had the impression it was because the trapped oil cooked right there after motor shut off. But i don't know if they were using cheap mineral oil or more used to stop right after a drag race... I removed mine at 75-80k miles to put a GT28 and it wasn't cooked like that. Was it because of syntetic oil or because of my driving habbits...? i can't say but both made it good!
