Default TurboSmart bov good or not...

I'm looking for a aftermarket bov since i read on many forum that the factorie bov leak. IM interested in the turbosmart because you got best of both world...Vta and recircul. I got a friend who installed a hks and he doesn't have any problem whit it like backfiring.

I'm not sur which way i should go.

Anyone who can give me their opinion/experience would be appreciate.

Help me out for my choice, HKS or Turbosmart dual bov

Thank

I too have read that the stock bpv leaks although I've yet to see actual evidence to support that, perhaps someone on here has something to back that up?

day 1- bought my brand new 06 MS6
day 2- cel
day 3- took it to dealership, BPV found broken, wouldnt hold boost. part on national back order for 2 weeks (probably because alot of them fail)
day 4- took the rental car they gave me and drove from jacksonville fl to key west fl for a week vacation (put over 1000 miles on it)

50/50 means half the air gets recirculated and the other half is vented to atmosphere. so its not all bad versus running VTA which most people backfire and stuff.

50/50 is only half bad, like HIV, while VTA is like full blown AIDS

lol very well put!! i hate my turbosmart bov in 50/50 and full recir. but i got the streetunit version.. the tall one.. it makes my car run like turd even at vac. no matter how soft or hard you set it, it will still surge at low boost.. and it makes my car almost stall when i let the rpms drop. this is all happend since ive installed the fmic... so im trading a freind for his hks bov this week..

Do you still have your stock bpv? If you do, I'd be curious to that installed back on your car to see how it runs.

Ok, so apparently the turbosmart doesn't like front mounts...that's good to know.

I've had mine since day one when it was huge as hell and we had to wait forever to get a plate made that would allow it to mount up and not hit the shroud on the top mount.

I have loved mine however and the most maintenance I have done was a recent clean and re-oil and it works great...never had a backfire but I also run it at full recirc and get great soundtrack because of the CAI.

HKS all day long. No problems t all to date. Full recirc is best only run VTA if you have the standback so you can tune it to cut fuel in bettween shifts.

Mine worked well in full recirc.

But, running the OE valve now, @ circa 19psi. No leakage.

Get the HKS from us, Maintenance free, sounds amazing even in recirc., no adjustment. I love my turbo XS and have had just about every BPV out there, and the HKS hands down was the easiest, most user friendly, and sounded the best in Recirc.

Get it from us at the best deal possible!
