(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I have a good seal on the shroud, there's a nice dark black line all the way around the shroud where the rubber meets it... so I don't think it's that. Is there anything else you could think of that would cause me to be seeing 140 after cruising on the highway and then doing a 4 th gear pull on a 65 degree day? The only thing I can think of is I currently don't have that plastic shroud under neath the engine installed, didn't know if that would help create a vacuum and force more air through the intercooler? Here's a pic...

| Not Ranked : 0 score Because TMIC... just the nature of the beast. You either go TMIC with meth injection to keep BATs down or FMIC with optional meth injection for an upgraded turbo. I think you are just producing a crap load of heat (from the BNR) and the intercooler is in the perfect spot to soak it all up. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Do a coolant bypass, it should help a bit. But if you live somewhere that gets cold, remember to put the hose back on for winter. I have a log I can post up of the difference later today. But, I also have meth lol. Meth is pretty damn awesome, I suggest everyone do it lol. I was crusimg at 138f on the freeway. Got off and was at 170. Meth hit and I was at 80 in a matter of a second. This was in 110f weather earlier this week. I was cruising after doing the coolant bypass, and was at 100. then got off and idled at 115f. It was 90 outside then, but it for sure is helpful.I should add I did the coolant bypass because I noticed my BATs sky rocket recently lol.

| Not Ranked : 0 score Remove the weatherstripping closest to the windshield and you'll drop 10-15*'s off of bat's. If you note your iat vs bat now, vs. after doing so, you'll have evidence it does indeed work. MS6 High Bats Last edited by rfinkle2; 09-20-2013 at 01:05 PM. I might want to try this out for fun next summer. It's colder in canada now so my bats don't get high this time of year. | |

Every ms6 I've seen with bat problems has benefited and I've never heard of any detriments. Also on gen2 here: (courtesy of djuosnteisn. LOL) How To: Engine Temps and Style Upgrade | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score The only downside is that sometimes my windshield gets fogged up in rain. I was worried about sucking in hot air into the AC, but it hasn't affected how cold the AC blows. Also, you can see a wave of heat coming out of the hood without it, so definitely dissipates heat. EDIT** You can also remove the rubber seam on the hood in the front. That will let a whole lot of air go through the enginebay and out the back if the cowl is removed as well. The downside may be that you'd be getting a lot more debris and water in there with the additional air.

| Not Ranked : 0 score If you are cruising down the highway on a 65F day and are seeing 140F BATs cruising, that is very strange. I have a SU TMIC and on a 65F day cruising down the highway staying mostly off the boost (<5psi), my BATs will be 95-100F consistently. On a 65F day with the K04 during a 4th gear WOT run, I would usually see the BATs drop to maybe 85F before getting up to 115F or so after a WOT run. Is the cold air ducting in the hood still there? You sure the ducting isn't blocked? Was the car heat soaked badly before you got on the freeway to start with? Maybe post a log up and we can see if there is something obvious, though its likely Lex would have already reported on something odd.
