(Thread Starter) | ![]() ![]() ![]() What you will need to buy: 3 resistors, 2.7ohm 1/4 watt 5% tolerance (ive read multiple threads that say 2.4ohm and 2.8ohm may work as well but I used 2.7ohm on both sides with success). I bought these on amazon in a 100 pack for like $5 but if you are looking for cheaper then head over to Mouser Electronics - Electronic Components Distributor for individuals for $0.10 each. So first on the driver's side you will need to get your seat harness out of the driver's seat and do not cut any plugs off, I know its a pain in the ass to get it out but just do it right in case you decide to stock out and keep your aftermarket seats. Next you will need the seat position sensor (if you have power seat) or you will throw code 49 (I attached a picture of what this sensor looks like). To get this sensor you will need to unbolt the lower seat part of the seat and remove the 2 cross head screws. Dont forget the seat belt buckle as well. Now insert the resistor into the yellow plug under the seat and tape it up and and shove the position sensor under your newly installed seat and you are done with this side. Now on the passenger side it gets a little more fun. First off the lower part of the seat belt attaches to the seat so if your rails dont come with a place to attach this then just bolt it to the rear seat bolt like i did. Now on your passenger seat you will need the harness, also a little black rectangular control module, and the seat weight sensors. These sensors are bolted in-between the seat rails and the seat brackets that bolt to the floor. Also dont forget your buckle. So you put the resistor in the yellow plug like on the driver's side and youll also need to fit those seat weight sensors (which are as long as the rails) and the control module all underneath the seat which happens to be where the bose amplifier sits as well so its a tight fit i know. You will also need to put a resistor in the seat belt plug on the vehicle side harness to keep the passenger airbag light off while the seal belt is plugged in. So now i dont think im forgetting anything and you should not have an airbag light In case you get a light it should flash the code to you so for reference the ones i ran across are ass follows: Code 23 is the passenger side yellow plug Code 22 is the driver's side yellow plug Code 49 is the driver's seat position sensor I have a ton of these resistors left so i dont mind mailing anyone a couple. If you need tem just pm me.

| ![]() ![]() ![]() Nice looking seats. Does your airbag say, "airbag off" whenever a passenger is sitting in your front, passenger seat while buckled in? |

No you need to put a resistor in the seat belt plug to trick the computer into thinking no one is in the seat and keep the airbag on. I have not found a way to keep the seat weight sensors functional yet

Well i cant speak to the pu but in my car the 2.7 ohm 1/4 watt resistors i used have worked for over a year without issue. I would make sure the resistors are making contact with both terminals. I just stuck mine in the plugs and taped it all up.

Yea so the passenger side is the real pain in the ass because of the weight sensors built into the rails. I had to disassemble the rails and keep part of them with the sensors attached. ![]() Kind of hard to tell from the pic because i have them buried under my seat but those sensors i didnt use resistors in. On the passenger side i have a resistor in the airbag plug and the seat belt plug. So i am under the assumption that i tricked the car into thinking that no one is in the seat so im not sure if the passenger airbags will even blow in a wreck.

I've used a 2.8 ohm 1/4 watt resistor in yellow airbag plugs. Driver side I plugged the seatbelt connector back in. Passenger side I removed the sensors and harness from stock seat/rails Plugged the harness and all in and sat it next to Bose amp with that minimal space that we have there and....it works! Airbag light codes 16 - sensors under passenger seat 25 - seatbelt connector on passenger That's all I got! Sent from my SM-G935V using Tapatalk | |

| ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for the info. Thinking about just getting an aftermarket seat for the drivers side. CR1 hopefully before they discontinue it. |
