(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score So I've been looking at new shocks and struts for my wife's Mazda 5 and I noticed that the Monroe Quick-struts are the only ones that actually have a different part number for the 5 than the 3. A lot of companies try to claim their preassembled struts are interchangeable but the MZ5 is significantly heavier than the 3 so I don't buy it. Monroe says their individual struts for the 3 and 5 are the same so I'm guessing only the spring is different. However, it got me thinking that maybe their MZ5 quick-strut would be beefy enough for the MS3? I need new shocks and struts as well and money is super tight right now. Both cars need new tires too. I also need a comfortable ride as the MS3 is my daily driver and I transport the kids every day. I put in the Sensen shocks and struts about 3 years ago but they've failed already. I can always swap out the springs with my OEM springs if I don't like the ones that come with the quick-struts. What do you all think?
