Lower Control Arm Replacement

Hello,
I need to replace the driver side lower control arm on my Speed 3. Going to keep it easy and just replace the entire arm. I see Rock Auto has a Moog and a ACDelco branded replacements.

I know Moog is the standard, but what are everyone's thoughts on the ACDelco? Less than half the price in comparison to the Moog. Also can anyone confirm those part numbers are correct for the speed 3?

Thoughts on only replacing the one bad side vs doing both?

I'd just get OEM. They are not that expensive. I always hear bad things about rock auto

I'd say give it a go and report back.

Just do both sides, I bet the other arm is just as fucked or soon will be.

If it were me, I'd try it. I noticed a lot of speed owner's recommend OEM parts a lot, even for basic stuff like this.

Searching onlinemazdaparts it looks like Mazda and Moog have separate part numbers for Turbo and Non-turbo, but the ACDelco uses the same part number for Turbo and Non-turbo. Not sure what the differences in the arms are, but it makes me wary.

If it were me, I'd do both at the same time, I didn't find it to be a difficult job.

I replaced both front lower control arms on my 07' Speed3 with the AC Delco ones from Rock Auto last summer. No issues fit is perfect. For some reason there are less control arm options on Rock Auto for the speeds, but if you cross reference a base Mazda 3 AC Delco part # to a Speed3 part number on Rock Auto they are the same.

I think I may try to ACDelco unless someone else chimes in. I was quoted $321 each from Mazda which is a lot for control arms

I saw them at less than $180 each
The difference between non speed and speed are probably a slightly stiffer bushing

From my past experience, ACDelco isn't the greatest. I'm partial to MOOG. If you are concerned, try to look at pictures of both of their ball joints and bushings. That should give you an idea of quality.
