Rear Control Arm Need some help, advise, etc. So long story short, was changing rear sway bar endlinks, bushings, and the rear springs. Everything went well, though the outer bolt on the lower control arm is seized with the bushing and I cannot take it out. Also, the bushing itself is "gone" so it def needs a replacement. So, any idea where I can find a cheap control arm or bushing (the whitelines a bit expensive at $71). Any ideas how to remove the bolt without cutting are appreciated too. P.s. Rockauto has one control arm for $35, under speed3: More Information for MEVOTECH CMS76155 Under regular 3, they have more options, including MOOG, though I am not sure if it is going to fit the speed3: More Information for MOOG RK641468 |
FYI, the MEVOTECH rear LCA listed for mazdaspeed 3 did fit. |
If you run into any more problems with seized bolts, bar none, the best penetrating fluid is Seafoam's Deep Creep. Runs about $10/can but I'd trust that stuff to break loose a rusted engine. Just be sure to give it enough time. |
