wilwood 4 piston caliper kit

Does anyone have any experence with this kit. Im due for front pads and rotors and i would like to upgrade instead of just keeping the stock set up. If you have used it how did you like it and how was the fitment? Also how is the initial bite and fade resistance of the pads?

I am considering do a caliper upgrade but Corksport is what I'm leaning towards. The caliper on this wildwood kit is so small...

They are very good for the purpose they're built. However, keep in mind that the stock setup is a pretty good rotor+pad combination for the street.
A good rotor is a good rotor, its job is only to dissipate heat and act as a support for the brake pad. It's the brake pads that offer most of the improvement when upgraded. Once a layer of the brake pad is transferred on the rotor the pad provides braking bu rubbing against its own layers. Find a good rotor (OEM included, really) and then a good brake pad that offers less fading than stock.

Larger brakes also come with more rigid pads which will take longer to reach the optimal temperature and may lead to surprises if after a long period of cruising on highway you need to do an emergency stop. If you put softer pads on large brake kits you will experience similar fading to stock just because the pad itself doesn't have the ability to transfer enough heat to the calipers and disks.

So I just thought I should tell you these things before you go for larger brakes setup which you may not need and may come with a performance downgrade in the conditions you're usually driving your car.

The reason I'm looking to use a upgrade is because I autox frequently and want to do hpde events this year. Also my of caliper is missing the boot so I need a caliper to begin with

You can just buy a new boot if you wanted to. Rockauto sells them cheap.

I thought of that but um also worried if any debris or rust is in the more of the caliper. Also I hate rebuilding calipers lol

When upgrading your brakes, make sure that you keep in mind that you want to make them work better above all else. Just because a part is made by a reputable company does not guarantee that the product is right for your application - or that it will by default improve the performance of your vehicle.

The OEM caliper is a good one in my mind, and the parts that you are considering are not necessarily an upgrade from stock. Personally, I tend to avoid less expensive Wilwood calipers than the SL6. That one has done really well by me in the track applications that I've used it in - including a 400WHP SRT4 that weighed a mere 2800lbs. The lesser Wilwood calipers may well not have the rigidity necessary to avoid flexing under duress, so be careful in your upgrade path in order to avoid buying a product that will not perform up to your expectations/requirements - necessitating replacement.
