Default Adding silver ring vents

This could be the simplest How-to ever written. It’s more for the info. of the part number, if you want to do this, took some digging of the other sight to find…my dealer parts department isn’t the easiest to work with. The 07-09 cx-7, for whatever reason, didn’t come with these from the factory. They add a little something to your dash. First go to or call onlinemazdaparts.com and order two of part number GP7A-64-730-02 . Jason was very helpful getting me everything I needed.

First open your vent and pull. It will pop right out.

There is another ring inside that might not come off with the vent so you need to reach in and pull this one out too.

Finally take the new vent and push it in until you hear it snap in place.

Enjoy!

Sorry wasn't sure how to post pics after each step, but they are in order from left to right.

I thought about it...jst don't have the time right now to do it right. This was faster and didn't cost too much.

I do not want any chrome on my dash.

It just causes reflections.

Not a bling guy... LOL

It's chrome? I thought it was a faux brushed aluminum plastic.

You're right they are not chrome. I think on the 2010+ they are chrome in the CX

I bought and installed these last week. A nice interior upgrade. It matches the same silver paint of the rest of the interior. It classes it up a bit. The only problem I've noticed is that you sometimes see the reflection of the silver bezels in your side mirrors. I've gotten used to it now, but it is something to mention. It's probably why they didn't include them in the first place.
