Cool CX7 OEM Fog Light Install

We have 2008 CX7 without fog lights, When I removed front driver side black cover and noticed wire pluged to back , when removed pass side no wire was near or pluged in ,

Question Can we just buy OEM fog lights from dealer and install myself, or is this dealer install only.

Pease help, dealer asking over $400.00 CDN both lights and install

Sorry, missed the thread. IF you have power seats, it is is not possible to install. If you have manual, the wire should be there. I would keep looking.

The directions included from mazda with the OEM foglight kit say that if it HAS powerseats the wires are there.

Default Power seat = wiring

Since this post was recently commented on and I just added the OEM fog's last weekend, I thought I'd throw in my 2 cents.

1) MY 2008 Sport with power drivers seat has the fog light wiring present, as Demented said.

2) The job is a pretty simple DIY for adding the light fixtures, bezels, and new turn signal with light switch. The Mazda instructions provided in the kit were easy to follow.

3) Kit part number: EG21-V7-220F (2007-2009)

You do need to take the front bumper off to get to everything:

Just google the kit number in my previous post, there are tons of places that sell it. I found the cheapest one and then asked my local dealer to match the price. They did, and put the order in for me.

Instructions were included in my kit.

Default 2011 cx-7 sport

sorry to bump this thread (new to the forum)

I have a cx-7 sport 2011. I know from previous post that if you have power seats the wiring is already in place for the fog lamps. I do not. However, I have fixtures that have blanks(the siver plastic place holder for the fog lights) with daytime running lights and turn signals already down there(I'll post a pic later). That means there is some wiring already in place there for sure. Just wondering if someone knows if this means that there is already something to simply plug into for the fog lamps.

My 07. I bought mine for 135 at junkyard. I installed them this weekend and worked.

Yep. That's what it means.

Are they auto-wired to run as daytime or do you have to install the different handle switch on the steering column in order to use them?

If you don't have a fog light switch. You are going to find on or order one.
