(Thread Starter) | Neutral : -1 score Tape off around the headlight with painter's tape to protect the headlight. Then wet sand the headlight by hand with the 1000 grit that attaches to the awesome gripper pad. this will remove the haze pretty quickly. Wipe with microfiber towel to make sure it is sanded uniformly. Switch paper to the 3000 grit, and wet sand headlight some more. Wipe with microfiber towel to make sure it is sanded uniformly. Then use the buffing wheel with the polish and a cordless drill to polish the headlight to a shine. I used plenty of polish, and still had lots left after both. I used my drill at the highest speed, too. Once you can wipe the polish off and it is looking awesome, then apply the protectant with the microfiber towel and done. They look like new again, but there are some internal cracks/crystallization that cannot be removed. Still 1000 times better. Last edited by Raider; 03-28-2011 at 07:08 AM. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Hard to tell how bad they were to start with from the pics - but glad you saw improvement. Our MPV is in dire need of this.

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Yeah. I thought I got a great "before pic" but it was blurry. If you can imagine the tops being hazy, and the fronts, dull as hell. They are slippery and clear now. I was leery about sanding them. Just lots of water, and on the buffing, I held it flat, used a ton of the polish (did not want to burn the plastic) and just did a lot of overlapping even passes, like if I Was buffing out paint. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Just joined the forums and saw your post yesterday after purchasing our CX-7 recently. It had the same issues with the headlights so I went and got this McGuires kit. It really is super legit! And like you said, it comes with plenty of solution to do several cars. We did our cx-7 and the ole civic and they both look new! Thanks Raider. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Mine hasn't gone out..yet. But from what I've read and been told, it's very loud and noticeable. I plan on servicing mune prior to this. Its about 4-500 in parts and about 5-600 in labor if you have it done by a mechanic.
