Default Battery Relocation

Has anyone relocated the battery to the rear trunk/hatch or replaced the battery with a race battery? If so does anybody have pics of their setup and a possible runthrough on how they routed everything.

Thanks!

I got a diehard battery on a cp-e tray. I will probably be relocating it to the rear soon so I have room for the 3.5" turbo inlet. It was just a swap out. The battery is much lighter then stock and the stock battery tray packed some weight to. This battery has never let me down.

Im just getting ideas because i want more maneuverability under the hood because im thinking of a turbo project and relocating the turbo a little closer near the battery area of my MS3.

^^ Looks nice are you going to get the turbo mounted there. I wanted to do that but wasnt feasable with my budget. What are all those wires hanging down and what gauge did you use to re-route your battery.

already looked under there. no room. you remember when i took the seat off at fontana?
i did it again the other day. i was stunned to see no room. wtf. i'm not too concerned with passengers, and it'll be behind driver's seat, so you'll still have room in the passenger seat

There isn't much more to it. I ran some 0 guage wire back to the trunk and mounted the PC680MJT battery in the recess on the passenger side that the jack used--the jack fits fine right next to the spare..

I did add a second battery(when I added a Memphis Mojo 2500D amp), but the one battery did just fine for over a year and never failed to start the car--even on very cold mornings in the winter..

I guess I wanted to see how your amps are mounted and if that is the way you left everything, with the dynamat exposed. what subs are you rocking? Hmm 2500w RMS, there could only be room for 2...JL W7's? ha I really don't know what else could take that much RMS power.

The amps are mounted flat across the back of the box. I haven't done any more work to the trunk so it still looks just like that...lol

I will eventually finish it, but the car has been in the shop so long, I'm looking forward to just driving it...

The 2500D is the top amp it's running a pair of alpine type-x twelves.. The MC5004 is the bottom amp and it runs all the Memphis interior speakers.. I'm all about overkill...if you can't tell..

^^haha damn. I had 2 12" L7 solo barics in a huge vented box hooked up to a RF 1500bd, and a basic Pioneer 60w x 4 powering some MB Quart components, all in a Durango. and I thought that was overkill.
