| Not Ranked : 0 score A ground loop isolator may help too.. only like $5-$10, and you plug it inline between your aux port and phone.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I get the humm when charging from a normal car charger and playing audio to the aux port. When not charging it sounds great. My option B - I have a small inverter in the center console. If I use a wall charger off the inverter for power, no humm. (basically a work around to give me an isolated circuit) |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I've installed many hi end stereos and had this problem many times. My advice to you is If you're running an amplifier, run power and ground all the way to the battery. Same for the headunit, run the yellow wire to the positive terminal on the battery as well as the black wire all the way to the battery as well. Ground loop isolators reduce audio quality and are filtering a perfectly good signal. If you're running an amplifier, buy high quality RCA's like the ones I listed. These are twisted in a such a way that is deters noise and loss of signal quality. Also if you're running RCA's, pull the carpet out one day and run them down the middle of the car and away from any wires as best you can, this will make a huge difference in signal nose. Hope this helps, its always worked for me. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Run the power and ground from the battery? Are you kidding? The battery is one of the noisiest/dirties places for power. The only way to get rid of the issue is not use the circuit when you are using the aux cable, or completely isolate it.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I experienced this same issue since I just got my first Droid phone on Friday and I was enjoying the hell out of Pandora by way of the AUX port. Like others said, it's a matter of whether or not you're charging your phone at the same time. Since I take longer drives every now and then, I thank whoever posted about the isolators and other work-arounds. With my A/C adapter at home charging the phone while listening through speakers or headphones, I noticed the problem doesn't exist since the power is better grounded and running through a surge protector. Very useful information in this thread, I'd say.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I am having this same issue, but I'd rather not buy an isolator. There has got to be an easy way to reground the auxilary plug to the car, maybe a larger gauge wire with shielding to reduce feedback pickup. Does anyone have access to a wiring diagram for the MS3 or at least to the factory auxilary/stereo unit? |

| Not Ranked : 0 score If this happens primarily when the charger is plugged in, wiring the charger to the battery can help significantly. Next best thing would be an aftermarket headunit with a USB port on it to charge said device.

| Not Ranked : 0 score I mean, I guess I could hardwire the power, but it's the Belkin Aircast device, so it'd be a pain to try to do that. I'm surprised there isn't any easier option than that. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score I'v been told that if you use stereo's ground for the ground on your phone charger the "noise" should be gone. No need for isolator. I'll try it one if this days
