There's actually one already here. If tapping is too complicated(simple shit) then just buy tge pac converter for 30 bucks and plug n playvl that shit bro.

In order for the amp to know to power on/off when the car is turned on/off you need to tap into the "remote signal" you find this on the the wiring harness with the blue plastic tabs. Start by gently pulling this harness out of the amp. There is a series of wires in the top half of the harness and another series on the bottom of the harness. You are looking for the solid blue wire on the bottom half of the harness. Tap into this and run it to your amp. Now run your speaker wire to your sub. I'm pretty sure that's it. If you have any other questions or if anything was too vague let me know. - Marc

Than I saw this one and it "seemed" easier (nothing against OP) and ya I looked online and it didn't say if my amp had a high frequency input. Well I did it today the way the thread said and nope didn't work. I guess I need a loc. Damn my luck.

Are u vip. If so u have access to the link for the plug n play cable. Simple as fuck n I got it so I know it works. Look for the pac plug. Cant remember the name. Imma ask my boy really fast.

already answered, start @ post #66 . LOC's are NOT required. Just another method. Depends on pre or post Bose amp connection. If you don't want to spend money on an LOC you can use the method mentioned above otherwise LOC will work too.

question for anybody who has tapped into the sub signal wires coming out of the amp, how in the hell did you unhook the white connector shown below? i fought with it for ten minutes and decided to stop before i broke it, mine has another piece that like holds the tabs in place and keeps it from coming out, any help is appreciated

VERY happy after adding a sub to the stock Bose system. PO had an aftermarket sub and removed the stock Bose sub, which I found out when installing my own system.

Bought a PAC AOEM-MAZ2 from Sonic for $40 shipped. Space was tight behind the deck but I made it fit.

Used a 4GA wire kit and mounted the amp (Alpine MRP-M500) under the passenger seat. Ran that to a 10" Kicker CVR in the hatch. Sounded awesome after tuning it.

Thanks for the help in this thread. Highly recommend this upgrade.

I liked the factory bose stereo at one point

Then I ended up replacing all 4 speakers plus a 4 channel amp and a mono amp with 2 12s. I love it now

I've wired a couple hi-lo converters before and would highly recommend the pac kit. Its a super nice plug-n-play kit. Just purchased mine from Sonic.

Easy to install/remove and involves no splicing. Do it.

So I've decided to add a sub to my stock Bose. Stationed in Guam so choices are kind of slim.. going with Kicker sub and Alpine amp from crutchfield. Gotta find someone who makes the jack sub boxes and find a pac thingy!

Can't really understand the shitty app. Any way, what's the sub rated to? How many ohms is the sub? And if you're trying to find a box for cheap check out this crazy invention called google. the big 3 prob wont be necessary for 400 watts. i was running over 1000 watts on a friends mazda3 and he wasnt dimming or anything. i wouldnt waste your money unless it really bugs you after you install everything.

noted.. I am probably half way done with install my fiberglass stealth enclosure looks like shit, but besides being fully functional at about 0.6 cu ft. Is being remade tomorrow. Never done it before so the first one, just wasn't pretty enough even though it inserts behind panel on scissor jack wall.

Ran 0awg power wire today, wanted to go drivers side, but went thru passenger side as it fits and was easy enough. Just waiting on PAC unit, amp and sub...

and still gotta decide where I'm mounting amp.. probably on same wall as sub...
