Damn good numbers. I bet 300whp would be doable with the right tuning. Looks like you could lean it out after 6K RPM, help with that torque curve dropping. I like how the ineffectiveness of the boost control shows up at 5K RPM. Holy torque dip batman!

Well it's 91 degrees out right now as I'm typing this for me.

Let's do some basic math here.

Evo X curb weight: 3585lbs
1999 mazda miata curb weight: 2299lbs (I don't have power locks/windows etc...but turbo adds some weight, we'll say 50lbs) so 2350lbs

Evo X Power/weight: 0.0948 HP/lbs
Miata power/weight: 0.117 HP/lbs

Evo X would need 420whp to be 'even' with Miata.

And you're quibbling over correction factors??? lol

Also I should thanks @messiahx to helping with all the major installs, and tons of stuff in the tuning area. Answered a lot of dumb questions for me and even helped tune the car. He has a miata as well, but he's gonna be building the motor and slapping a huge turbo on.

car with you in it is what 2500 pounds. my car with me is like 3800 with out a spare.

Your power falls off at 6500 mine holds till about 7-7500 so it would be a good run against you from a high roll. anything below 45 may be in my favor.

When did I ever say shit about correction factors ginger killer. I said "Smoothing". also I'm geared VERY aggressive for a 5speed and My tq comes in sooner and harder than yours and my power holds longer. I would take my chances anyday of the week. heres my old graph don't have my newer one

all that power comes on sooner and holds longer doesnt mean much, as long as we both drive the cars within their peak power range....in which case all you have to worry about is make sure you shift at the right rpm.

yeah I heard that to go from like 150-160mph you'd need 100more hp then what it took to get from 140-150mph. Does that make any sense? its just something I read. Would that apply to a light ass car like you at those speeds?

not bad numbers.my buddy scott just did 320 with almost the same setup but on straight 93 no meth and a set of drop in rods.hes running megasquirt and tuning it himself aswell

his is in a 99 nb though

Thought about LS swap a lot. But it is a lot of money, even beyond just the drivetrain. Ideally I would need stiffer/better suspension, bigger brakes...list goes on.

Turbo can reliably get me the power i would want in this light ass car, and I also like dicking around with megasquirt etc.... I also just like turbocharged cars in generals (need mah ricer BOV)

nice... Yeah built motor is coming eventually. I feel like I would need to replace pistons and such as well, if I'm gonna go thru the hassle of taking the motor apart and such though. But I have seen guys just do those mtuned rods and call it good.

I wish. Boost is still no good from part throttle boost to WOT. overboosts like crazy. I need EWG...but I'm gonna be gone again soon. while I'm gone, all the hardware is gonna get taken care of. 114-115 and it does spin a fair amount on the 225's.hes on a gt2860 internally gated with a dump made from the downpipes divided housing.pretty sure a stock motor and head aside from the eagle rods not 100% on the pistons being stock he said 9:1.it started as a begi turbo kit now has a gutted maf housing and speed density with megasquirt.hes made a custom cop ignition from a 7th gen celica and just recently replaced the mani and exhaust from the same place you got yours.hes got a bunch of different videos from the track and street races/autocross on his youtube account scottrunsxc

Just looked at the datalogs. AFR was pretty good around 11.5-11.7 for most of the runs, but past... 6k or so, it goes down, 10.5 by redline lol.

I was probably losing some fuel pressure at redline with the stock pump.... threw on the Walbro today and now it's getting too much. Might have been able to eek out a bit more power but whatever, at least it was safe I guess.

biggest jumps I'm seeing are ~10whp... ok so average that out- that's still like 270whp... next please.

15-16 psi but it creeps up to 17 by redline.

250wtq considered safe reliable limit... I'm there lol.

Here is timing map. Y axis is KPa.. 212 is 16psi.

Relatively aggressive timing. I stole it from someone who got a dynotune with GT2560R, but NA 1.8 (I should be able to run more timing than NA 1.8 because of my better head design). I tweaked it a little to smooth it out and that's what I ended up with. I'm also running 3gph nozzle water/meth as a safety blanket.
