Does he really? I know he knows a lot about tuning. Apparently he's been building the repu since 2010 and been on rx7club since 2004. I definitely don't doubt his knowledge

In all seriousness he is very knowledgable and should be able to handle any of your tuning needs.

I don't doubt his knowledge at all. He tuned my friends turbo e30 like I said. And I'm going to be running the same software. Apparently there is another guy who is good at tuning megasquirt as well around here who tuned my friends 261 whp supercharged miata. But I'll probably end up going to Kevin. I know his prices are really good

If you wanted more options or opinions I'd talk to JR Mills (use to run a shop called MTech) or call Sherwood Tire and see if Chris Edens is around. Both are local walking encyclopedias when it comes to miatas.

Yeah I've met JR. nice guy. and I'm friends with Chris Edens on facebook. I was going to buy JR's hardtop, I sent him a message and he messaged back in a few minutes and said he had a hardtop for sale in good condition, green, and I asked how much and for some pictures. no response, and still hasn't accepted my friend request after over a month.. which is strange

RS3's have been discontinued. You will need to find another tire, or stay 205.

I can get the BFGoodrich g-Force Rivals for $132 a tire, so I think I'm going to go with those

Just pulled in to my place with enough time to post this and be on my way to work. Hawk HP+ and HPS rear pads are installed and holy shit. Talk about a world of difference. These things are amazing. They feel great. Also, saw a package at my front door and its my throttle body inlet, so I'll probably put that in tonight!

Got the TBI in and running a healthy 12lbs, feels great. I've decided I'm going to sell the hardtop, got a guy who will pay $900. I'm having a guy fix all my body work and paint my car for $1000. He's a bit crazy but he's been doing it for over 30 years and has his own body shop. He said the running price is about 2000 but he'd do it for me for $1000, I just have to put a sticker on my car. Which is more than fair. Plus it'll only take 4 days he said.

Got an alignment today, went off of 949 racing's super miata dual duty specs:
Front camber: -2° (or as close as you can get to it)
Caster: >4°
Front total toe: 0

Rear camber : -1.7°
Rear total toe: 0 for track use. + 1/8" for autocross

The guys at Sears didn't even think my car was going to get on their lift, but it barely made it. They said my alignment went perfect, just to my specs. And it was easier than 90% of the custom alignments they do. And the car handles amazing now. Still on those Kumho tires but the car just grips so much better, it's crazy. Damn shame I'll have to put off the tires further. My friend said he'd let me run his Kosei's in 15x7 with BFGoodrich g-force rivals so I could see how I liked them, though, so that's a plus.

Another note, I'm feeling really great about the car, I haven't felt this confident with it in a long, long time. All of the little problems are slowly getting worked out and the car feels great. of course there's still a few other things to get taken care of, but I love my car right now.
