Default Papasmurf's New Drag Pack

I've been wanting a nice pair of bead lock drag wheels for awhile now, I have had my eyes set on a full set of Belak's for years, if you have never heard of the company they basically are the go to drag wheels for any SFWD car.

They have recently been popping up everywhere on basically anything you can think of, GTRs, Evos, Supras etc...

I finally made the purchase when they had their black Friday deal. Basically free skinnies with the purchase of beadlock fronts.

These wheels shed from 14 lbs per wheel from the Vision Sports Stars that a lot of people run.

Belak Industries OG Style Wheel.

Front Specs.

15x9
5inch Backspacing
Single Beadlock
9.8lbs each

Rear Specs.

15x4
8.8lbs each

I will be adding some Mickey Thompson 26x10x15 slicks along with matching front runners.

depends on the backspacing, with this backspacing you shouldn't... however my old set up (Vision Wheels that most people run 4 inch backspace) I slightly filed some ridges off the caliper to get them to fit with spacers.

This set up here shouldn't need any spacer or shaving, if shaving is needed it should be minimal.

@PapaSmurf; what does the "S" in SFWD stand for? Probably just having a brain fart, but stupid? Silly?

Good light drag wheels aren't cheap.

My front's now that' they've been beadlocked would of been about $700-750 per wheel.

Default Papasmurf's New Drag Pack

Damaged wheels are damaged.

Some of the damage on the wheels when I got them. Need to send them back so they can either make me new ones or fix these. Pretty annoying.

Basically almost every bolt on the beadlock wheels have scratches around them as if someone was careless putting the centers on.

The skinnies have a couple bolts that have scratches but not as much as the bead lock wheels.

You can also see one of the beadlocks has some blemishes on it.

@PapaSmurf; with the Vision Stars (i currently have a set) which have a center bore of 83.1mm and our hubs and the spacers are 67.1, did you run hub rings so the wheel studs aren't taking the load.
I can't find any off the shelf that are 67.1 inside dia to 83.1 outside dia.

No I did not, just tightened them down while the car was up in the air.

Neither did I, and I'm still to this date not using hub rings on either sets of my wheels.
