Default Austin AutoX Recommendations

Hey guys, just bought my MS3 a few weeks ago and I'm really looking to get into Autocross. I live in Austin TX and don't mind driving too far for an event. I did a little looking around and didn't see too much info on the forum, I apologize if I looked it over.

That said, does anyone have any local recommendations for me? I've already been eyeing the COTA event that Spokes is hosting next month. Also, if there's anything I need to do/bring to events that aren't listed on the website FAQ that'd be helpful too.

Thanks!

Spokes/sasca

Occasionally they do events at Harris hill raceway, which is a awesome event.

Houston SCCA is a drive, but it's good, very competitive region. A few times a year they run at the Houston police academy, which is awesome.

I believe there's also Porsche club and BMW club events you can run at.

Seriously consider rallycross. Austin has an awesome track,

If I still had a Subaru I'd be all over rallycross, but I bought my car 90% setup for autocross so I'll go that route I think. I've done track days on my motorcycle and have always wanted to do AutoX so I'm hyped.

Thanks for the help though Zenit, I appreciate it

Cool. Keep us updated.

That's my old stomping ground, I'm glad to hear about some MS3 representation in the central texas AX community.

RE: rallycross. You should still try it, even if means getting a rental for the weekend. FWD cars do just fine in the dirt.
