5th gear sometime doesn’t wanna go in

So it’s not so of a big issue but I just need to hear y’all opinion about this issue I have sometimes . So whenever I’m racing or accelerating really fast and when I quickly shift into 5th gear above 5600rpm it’s make a small grind noise but it still goes in or if I flat foot shift it won’t go in at all . So I usually just try to quickly shift into 5th before I hit 5500rpm and I have no problem but Why does It grind if I try to go into 5th at higher rpms?I changed the transmission oil already (redline 75-80) and I have a new act 6 punk clutch and flywheel , shifting bushings , cables seems fine , new transmission mount from jbr and rear mount from torque solution and motor mount from jbr . Everything else works great . Does anyone else have this issue ? I have a 2010 gen2 Mazdaspeed and I already replaced the transmission before sometime last year and also my old transmission did the same thing just to mention.

Have you tried adjusting the shifter cables?

Okay thanks guy it’s seem to fix the problem!! Hopefully it stays like that ha ! Now I can shift at like 6600rpm and no grind. But quick question do any of y’all flat foot shift into 5th gear? And if so does it go in?

Nice !!!! I flat foot shift 2, 3rd and 4th but I can never flat foot shift into 5th . Maybe it’s just to far apart or something. So I stick to shifting really fast into 5th instead.

Oh no lol I only do that while racing ha I don’t drive the car much tho and iv heard our transmission can handle some good power and as long as you don’t miss gear or grind I think it should be okay . Most high horse power Mazdaspeed still use the stock transmission.

I am well aware of this fact, but with your apparently common missed shifts, it's only a matter of time.
