Default Clutch pedal engagement changes every drive

History of Clutch nightmare:

Bought car 2.5 years ago. Clutch went bad first day. Replaced with Clutch Masters. Pedal was absurdly heavy and caused:

About 2 years ago I had my master cylinder replaced. Then my clutch pedal assembly snapped so I installed a new one 1 month later. Then my soft clutch line burst a leak so I replaced it with a braided stainless line a month or two later. I got a new clutch entirely because I was getting my tranny replaced and i hated the CM clutch so much. I got a SouthBend clutch kit this time with the steel flywheel. Also had all the clutch goodies replaced ToB etc. Been good albeit with a still pretty stiff pedal. So after about 9-10 month my slave cylidner just burst open. So I got that replaced. 2 weeks later and this is my current problem:

Clutch pedal free paly is like 1/3 pedal travel in them morning when I leave for work. Engagement point is near the floor or a bit up from that. After driving 5 minutes the engagement point starts moving up - kind of in sync with the car temperature. After 10-15 minutes of driving around town the engagement point is almost at the very top of the pedal travel. When it's warm mid-day and I go drive around the pedal engagement is very high and there is ZERO pedal free play. Checked slave and master cylinder both of which appear to have no leaks. Brake fluid is full and has been since slave was replaced.

What the Fuck is going on!?!? I can't comprehend how the clutch pedal changes so much in so little time and then go back every morning. At least with no apparent leaks. The engagement point gets so high on the pedal travel that I feel it might start slipping the clutch without even touching it. I just got back from lunch and the pedal has no free play at all.

Ideas?

Also - I have inspected the clutch pedal assembly for cracks and such. Seems to look fine.

I'll bet money, you've got an air bubble and need to bleed that bitch again or your new slave is about to chunk a duece.

When you're installing them, do you let them flail around donkey dick style or keep them compressed? If they over extend, it can be damaging to them.

Does your clutch fork look bent at all?

I've had to rebuild the master in my MS6 two or 3 times over the last few years (also with CM clutch). The plunger seal gets eaten away and causes weird issues like you're describing.

Thanks for the input guys. I adjusted the pedal and it's better but def feels spongy. I'm gonna bleed the shit out of it this weekend. Engagement point isn't really changing now but I'm hella confused at how the pedal adjustment fixed the changing engagement point and the pump up thing.

While I am here.. Whats up with me being a brownie again? Do I need to make a donation every year? I paid up and after about a year I lost my VIP status.
