(Thread Starter) | Neutral : +1 score Alright guys so here is what has been happening. I installed my corksport exhaust on my ms6. After I did this when ever I go WOT it will pull normal then after a few seconds it will lose power and lurch forward like I slammed on the brakes (maybe not that violent, but the same kind of motion) then I get power and it will for a few more seconds then same thing. So I called my local shops and asked Corksport what they thought it could be and they said that it was most likely fuel cut, so I waited 2 months for the prototype to be done and ordered the Corksport Fuel Internals, installed them myself and made sure everything ran correctly and held pressure. Now the problem happens less and not in the lower gears, however it still happens in the higher gears. I can WOT 1-4 with next to no problems after the fuel upgrade but now it does it really bad in 5-6. I cant really race or mess around anymore because I am not exactly sure what is happening. I have a over boost CEL code that was appearing, also I know I am running rich and that I need a tune. However is this a problem that could be solved with a tune? Or do I have a boost leak, another Mazda owner said it could be clutch slippage? Anyway, any advice would be greatly appreciated and I also took logs. I have one that is a 0-50ish? with no problems accelerating and then another that is 30-60ish with the problem. Thanks guys. |

| Not Ranked : 0 score By exhaust do you mean the downpipe or catback or both. Which map are you running?

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I have the catback and the resonated race pipe, stock DP. My DP is being shipped as we speak should be here next week. And I am running the 93 octane stage 2 with Corksport intake and TIH with upgraded fuel internals with stock TMIC |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Not sure but might be that you're running a stage2 map which should require a downpipe. I've also got the CS hpfp and intake, but running cobb ots stg 1 and no funky issues. gonna wait until i have a dp before I go with a stage2 map...

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Do you know how much you are boosting? It looks like I am peaking and hitting up to 21psi. IDK how it got so high, I have not messed with it. I keep asking my local shop for estimates on a dyno tune but no response, so I was just trying to figure out the issue. |

As for tuning, doing it on a dyno is perfectly fine and is actually much faster and reliable, IF, the tuner is proficient at tuning a speed. These cars are fickle beasts to tune, and not everyone can do it well. I suggest hitting up one of our resident tuners, like @Justin@Freektune; | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score You need a tune. Your hitting fuel cut because that map is commanding too much WGDC for your flow mods, which facilitates over-boosting. Fuel cut is the fail-safe for over-boost conditions, and has nothing to do with the actual pump. |

(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score I am assuming WGDC I Waste Gate Duty Cycle? Could you tell me exactly what it is? I have heard of it and know what a wastegate is I just don't understand exactly what you mean. Also I have heard that I should NOT dyno tune mazdaspeeds? But use an etuner? Anyone know about this? Thanks for the help! |

| Not Ranked : 0 score All i can say is read, read, read the stickies, there's a ton of info here. Like AO said, the issue is probably your tune. try a cobb stage 1 map, get it free on their website. see if the issue then goes away and then it's safe to say that it's the tune/map that's that issue. the stage2 map you're using it isn't configured for your specific car's mods. an e-tune (cheaper than dyno) will customize your map specifically for your car and get it running nearer to perfect than any canned OTS map can. Once your downpipe is on you might not have these issues since your stg2 map requires a downpipe.

| Not Ranked : 0 score If you are running Corksport downpipe you might need to pull it and check the lip between the two tubes. I have read where it has gotten bent either in shipping or install and your waistgate can not open all the way because it is making contact with this piece. This causes an over boost and fuel cut. Some people have fixed it by grinding it off. Edit: To slow. Never mind don't have the DP
