Default P2177 and hesitation on accel

I have a P2177 lean off idle trouble code. Only noticeable effect is that car jerks / pauses during heavier acceleration.

Recently replaced:
pre cat o2 (I believe it was bad following the FSM directions)
EGR valve (removed my P2187 code)

Used carb clean to look for vacuum leaks but didn't find any
Cleaned my MAF with maf cleaner
Added Seafoam in the gas tank (and engine oil)
I need to perform a boost leak test (my tester is leaking & I need to remake).

I viewed the following on my AP (don't have cable to connect it to computer):
at idle / rev'ed to 2k rpms
LTFT 11 / 19
STFT 5 / 5 .. rechecked and got 1 / 5
MAF airflow 3 / 6 g/s
HPFP Actt. Press 435 / 425 ...spiked to 1400+ under hard revving
MAF Voltage 1.2 / 1.5
AFR 14.6 / 14.7

I believe my turbo is toast. Lots of in and out shaft play and white smoke at idle. I don't think this would cause lean off idle tho?

Any suggestions? Does this look more like an air leak problem, fuel delivery problem, or something else?

most of the time is a leak or bad maf cal. vs intake installed

I don't know the behaviors of dirty injectors, it isn't impossible that it can reduce the fuel amount but i would check for leaks first...

It seems like you may have a leak. The fuel trims are on the high side.

Has the MAF sensor been replaced?

Alright so I performed a boost leak test and didn't find anything substantial.

I replaced my MAF and the jerky acceleration and P2177 code is gone!!!!

HOWEVER, now I'm getting P2188 "too rich at idle" Did some searching and tried the easy stuff. Took my air filter off to see if that was too dirty and restrictive, but didn't see my AFR change. I put compressed air on my MAF connector in case some dirt was in there as well.

I wanted to post a log, but my accessport will not connect. (Sounds like it needed to be updated on Windows 8 before it will work on Windows 10 and I have no access to a Windows 8 computer.)

Any ideas? Any band-aid ideas to just pass emissions for the short term fix?

There are many, many threads here about P2177/2188 codes and many potential causes. Have you read any of them? Might contain what you are looking for. Without logs we are stabbing in the dark with multiple possible causes still to sort through.

Does the oil on your dipstick smell like gasoline?

Did you use a genuine Mazda brand MAF sensor specific for the DISI turbo engine? These engines can use many substitute aftermarket products with no problem, but sensors, particularly MAF, MAP, and primary 02 sensors seem to cause problems if not OEM parts.

You may also need to redo your MAF cal.
