Default Project M is not a Nissan GT-R, new episodes tell more of the tale

Early last month, the first webisode of Inside Project M surfaced, showing a cloaked, bespoke supercar designed by Jason Castriota, the man behind the Maserati GranTurismo, Rolls-Royce Hyperion and James Glickenhaus' Ferrari P4/5. Over the ensuing weeks, four more videos have been released by Bradley R. Farrell's production company, KineticFin, that delve into the details behind Castriota's latest project.

As expected (and encouraged), speculation has been running rampant about what chassis and drivetrain lies beneath the shrouded concept, and although information is scarce, that hasn't stopped some from declaring the Nissan GT-R as the basis for the concept. As the image above proves, they're more than a bit off.

According to our sources, Project M will have a full greenhouse (similar to the P4/5), will be approximately 250 pounds lighter than the vehicle on which its based and will benefit from enhanced aerodynamics and greater down-force.
