(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score After 3000 miles I went for an oil change and the dealership brought the 2 new ones to the front. The steering wheel vibrates on and off at speeds greater then 70 mph. Sometimes there's no vibration and then all of a sudden the wheel vibrate like crazy. Is it a tread related issue? No alignment was done when the new tires were installed. Any suggestions? Last edited by nayilsi; 07-18-2013 at 10:38 PM. |

I did have a shitty tire once that had a bubble firm on the sidewall and caused mad vibrations. Sent via blown passenger side speakers.

| Not Ranked : 0 score No alignment is required when you install new tires, but ideally when you install them or even rotate them you should re balance them. It's weird that the vibration is not permanent. Normally when the tires are not balanced correctly or there's something stuck in one of the tires (a nail, a big stone, and so on) they vibrates continuously. Do you apply the brakes when you get that vibration? Go to a tire shop and have them check your tires, balance them, make sure the nuts were torqued properly (at the right torque and in the right order) and so on. If it's not the tires/wheels then you will have to start looking at the brake disks, maybe there's some debris stuck in one of them or they happened to wrap when you visited the dealer.

No brakes applied when I get the vibration. Just randomly it comes and goes at highway speeds. | |
