I know there are a few threads out there, i just wanted to get one official location.

80+ views and no other posts

Trying to decide if I want to go with new 17in wheels or keep the FDs and grab a set of coilovers.

Also ,anyone squeeze 245/50s?

You just changed my mind. I was going to go with 225/50 Hankook Ventus V12s, but For $50 more I can get 245/50 Federal SS595s. I worry becasue the Feds run big.

Post up how those meaty tire roll!

Do it TRex!!!!!

I have a set for winter and a set for summer...hell I may pick up another set for auto-x.

These wheels are llight, durable, inexpensive, tires cost far less, rides smoother...the list goes on.

I am going to buy shocks and lower springs after winter.

Bringing this back up to see more pics of other cars with FDs. I am considering it for my lowly 04 mz3. I am liking the look of these. Any modifications needed to the 3 like the mods the 6s need?

Here is a picture of my old 6 before I got the Pu.


The wheels are 16x8 +50 from a 2002 JDM RX-7 Efini Bathurst R, from what I know there are only a few sets in north america. Polish_Eagle has them now. Maybe he can post some pics of them on his Pu.

I'm an FD wheel addict, had them on my 97 Probe GT before the MS3. I have two sets now and picking up a 3rd set Saturday. I have 225/55/16 Michelin Arctic Alpine snows on one set with Enfini caps, Bridgestone RE-11's in 225/50/16 on my Deals Gap set and I'm picking up a set Saturday that is said to be pristine with Bridgestone potenza's 70-80% tread left. He said the tires are high performance so I'm hoping they are RE-11's. If they are then this is going to be a huge score and if they are lesser Potenza's they will still serve as great daily's.

Out of curiosity, anyone know the center cap size for FD's?

My set didn't come with them and I'm not spending $200 from Mazda for four caps. My wheels are 2 hours away from me right now otherwise I'd just measure mine.

Not a fan of them w/o caps and just want something in that space.

There is no replacement for the FD caps other than FD caps. Look on E-bay and check the rotary forums.

I have a set of used caps I'll sell for $50. They are in good shape but the paint is coming off one of them. I would just sand them all down and repaint them before installing.

EDIT: The paint is coming off one noticeably and slightly on another but like I said just sand and paint before installing.
