PapaSmurf 12-11-2012 07:55 AM

oh reaallly?

2 more years?

Domino81 12-11-2012 07:56 AM

Details?

Grumpyjap 12-11-2012 08:00 AM

I believe that is the final revision.

triphop631 12-11-2012 08:03 AM

should be soon as I believe this is the final revision.

breakfstincluded 12-11-2012 08:03 AM

sub sandwhiched

ABolewski 12-11-2012 08:05 AM

Fuck. I just got my stock intake manifold P&P'd.
Looks sick though!

captain slow 12-11-2012 08:08 AM

So this will be what, $1400-$1500???

rfinkle2 12-11-2012 08:15 AM

Oh hell yes.

I almost paid Map $6xx to PNP my mani, but they couldn't get a hold of a core.

Good thing they didn't.

I WANT.

Mr Wilson 12-11-2012 08:23 AM

Do want.

Jh8909 12-11-2012 08:24 AM

Im confused what I'm looking at, is the throttle body port on the passenger side?

magicka 12-11-2012 08:27 AM

Cool. Interested to see price/performance vs. the testing just finished up on the JMF/SilverDemon mani.

no it is on the driver's side.

theschrum 12-11-2012 08:28 AM

Two weeks and $1100+ I assume.

Actually cast should bring the price down substantially, but you never know with CP-E.

atvfreek 12-11-2012 08:29 AM

Very nice!

UnknownSuperhero 12-11-2012 08:38 AM

Umm . . . Fuel rail?

mrdouble99 12-11-2012 08:39 AM

Port injection !!!!!!!

Karmat 12-11-2012 08:43 AM

The timing of this is interesting to say the least.

A manifold shouldn't cost as much as a new turbo considering the gains from one far outshines the other. A manifold will always simply be a complementing piece. If they were smart they'd price it like an exhaust manifold.

Raider 12-11-2012 09:06 AM

Merged the 2 threads to 1, moved to CPE.

doubleflusher 12-11-2012 12:25 PM

Larger throttle body options?

BobtailedSnail 12-11-2012 01:10 PM

Looks nice but me likely Scott's

hahaha

leon78 12-11-2012 01:32 PM

8th port fuelzzzzz!!!???

Celestspeed3 12-11-2012 02:05 PM

I'm curious if the manifold has something like a universal flange for the TB, then you would both and adapter for either stock, or a larger one?

I'd like to see a 3" TB.

Fatguy729 12-11-2012 02:27 PM

People with cxracing style fmic piping won't be able to use this

Celestspeed3 12-11-2012 05:29 PM

You don't know that until you try it. Hell I'll redo all my IC piping to run this.

LOL I would too, just saying there is no way a 2.5" pipe will fit between that IM and the front of the car

Also wondering about the ms6 people with the front engine mount

Poohster 12-11-2012 06:28 PM

5 Attachment(s)
Some more pics with a little more detail.

PapaSmurf 12-11-2012 07:04 PM

That thing looks pretty good.

Wonder what the time frame is.

Of course!

Matt H. 12-15-2012 03:01 PM

This is all pretty and wonderful the components and supporting hardware that CPE has created for this platform but with all of these nice high flowing engine components i think it is finally time for a company to have a cnc head program for the individuals that utilize the majority of these components. With this being said i would like to say continue with the path of good engineering and a quality path for modding this car!!!

Celestspeed3 12-15-2012 03:05 PM

While I do agree with you, I think that a CNC head is out of budget for 99% of the people here. I got my head ported and fully assembled for around $1200. I don't think I will see any more gains form a CNC head.

El_Diablo 12-15-2012 07:39 PM

Biggest benifit to cnc porting is repeatability. In some cases this can actually lower the cost because the machinest bolts the head down turns on the program and walks away to work on something else. Will this be the case with a MZR head setup? Depends on the head, the cnc machine, the program writer and what it costs to run the machine and write the program. Sould it be cheaper than traditional with more consistant results? Yes, but its going to be finding the right person to do so.

it's also about how much business that guy can get. Spending all the time to write the program will be very expensive if only one person has to pay for it. the repeatability is a great aspect of CNC machining, but if you never repeat it then you have a very expensive one-off piece that would have been better off, in this case, being hand polished.

If pablo were to set up a CNC service it would probably be worth it as this whole forum would send out to have work done. Almost anywhere else though, it's probably not the best route. Just IMO, and just throwing an opinion out there, not looking to start an argument.

El_Diablo 12-15-2012 11:05 PM

I completely agree in terms of the business aspect and should have also included that in my post. Thank you for hitting that missed point.

Matt H. 12-23-2012 05:35 PM

My thinking in terms of the cnc program if said company wishes to accept this mission would to have a core program for good turn around times and to have two stages in my eyes this is all that is needed for the individual that wishes to do this. So stages i would love to see the stock head fully ported to a level in witch stock valves and springs so on and so can tolerate and theeeennnnnn the mack daddy the head ready to go 1mm bigger valves fully ported and a optional spring package. I agree to above statements about programing this would be a attension to detail kind of job and for someone that has worked with cnc processes for years!!!!!! In the end I think said company would have them a fine product and would help a wide range of poeple reach there goals though a better flowing engine.
