Default cp-e mount orientation
quick question... i forgot what the instructions said, but it said something about the contoured side was facing down or something. one side has cp-e engraved on it - is that the side that's supposed to face down?

hmm... i dont ever think i looked at the directions when we installed this...lol and its the first time its been asked!! i do think it matters. i had alot of vibes and my bsd made a racket until it was reinstalled by P3 and then it was 10x better. maybe they know. you can try cpe too.

and my mount DOES NOT have a contoured side like the one above.... it's straight on both sides. ???????????

Mine was straight too. Maybe the newer mounts aren't contoured. I just put the side that said "cp-e" facing down been about 1500 miles and no problems.

I'm sorry guys, we made some changes to the mount and neglected to change the instructions. The mount is in fact directional, but you're not going to destroy your car if you put the mount in upside down. The new "contoured side" is the side with the machined cp-e logo.

sigh, i just went under there and flipped it around to the wrong way when i went to check if there was a contoured side.

now i have to take it out again

When I got mine a month ago I had the same Q'... but w/e I just installed it with the CPE logo pointing down... its like common sense... why would you hide the Cpe logo ehh?
