Default Similar issue with V2

I am having a similar issue with my V2 accessport. When I plug it in to install it into my car it refuses to communicate with my ECU. After reading, I found that the 1st gen mazdas have issues with their ports and that it is easy for the prongs to get moved around.

The more bizzare part is this.. if I hold it into place for the 30 mins it will load all the way to 100% and then fail after that. Has anyone else had this issue? All I want to do is run that stage 1!!
