Default My 08 Mazdaspeed 3

Pics of the car in various stages of ownership. Picked it up in 2010 and have tried my best to keep it pristine.

With the roof rack mounted. Sadly my bike was stolen and my wife (now ex wife) wouldn't let me get a new one so I sold the rack.

Haha! I used to be pretty meticulous during washings. Also washed it almost every other week.

I used to live in San Jose.
In almaden. It was great there. Always good weather and great mountain roads to tuck corners on!

Beautiful car man I hope ur car keeps looking sexy. I wish I could get a silver/ gray ms6, I had to settle for a mx cherry with some matte black on it. only good condition ms6 I could find in my new area lol.

I really like living in the Bay Area, but I hate the prices for houses and lately the traffic. I'm hoping we'll have another housing bubble burst soon so I might have a shot at staying here.

Yes I agree the housing prices there are horrible. I met a guy at sjsu who was in his 30's going back to school because he needed a better paying job, anyway he basically told me that Cali is so expensive that our children would have no way of living there after high school unless other family members are there to subsidize their living expenses.

I never thought of that prior to meeting him and it really made it easier for me to move. Housing is so much cheaper in a lot of states and I can now plan to buy my own house in Texas instead of renting an apartment or room in Cali. (I really want my own garage for my cars not a shared lot lol)

Anyway another big reason I moved was because of schooling, classes at sjsu are really hard to get just because there are so many people there.

I am with you on the housing bubble bursting that would be great. I love the weather there and the roads. Other states just don't compare to that great sun and fresh air in north Cali. It will be missed.

that's one clean looking silver ms3. still wish i found silver. anyway, fill us in on the specs/mods; wheels, tires, suspension, etc... i might be running the same tires, if those are the Indy 500's.

on a similar note, my wife and i moved to houston from NY/CT about 5 years ago. within 4 years we paid off half our debt, our credit scores increased, and we built a house (yes, built) which would have been damn near impossible in southern NY/CT.

Built a house! Nice. Congrats. That's practically impossibly in the Bay Area. Unless of course someone's born with the silver spoon or pulling in serious dough. The smog laws in TX are also much more lax than CA which pretty much bans everything.

yeah buddy. back in NY your family helped out with the down payment if they had it, or you just took over their house when they retire.

state inspection the other day took 10 minutes, and "egr valve not ready" meant nothing.

With the exception of the ubiquitous Florida man going around my state, Florida cannot be beat with it's combination of non existent car inspections- which means modding anything you want, reasonable housing prices, mild winters, and slutty woman. And then there is Disney too.

Visit Florida Motherfuckers.

But yeah if I had the money I would hands down move to Socal or Norcal. Fuck it sure is perty there. Driving in these flattened swamp lands does get boring.

You should try yourself some potholes (borderline sinkholes), straight and flat roads, harsh winters with plenty of salt for everyone sprinkled with an entire lack of modern car culture.

Clean it regularly and wax it with rim wax or just regular car wax when you wax your car every 6-8 weeks.

No joking about the potholes and sinkholes. Lol! I lived in Farmington HIlls, MI in my late teens/early twenties and got to experience winter weather for the first time in my life. Michigan roads are by far the worst I've ever driven on. But with all of the big rigs and the ground freezing every winter it's not a surprise.

Oakland, CA and East Bay roads are fucked too though. I blasted my front lip to pieces in a damn parking lot the other week.
