Or maybe cut through where that long horizontal slit is on the black part of the bumper? Would that allow for enough air to escape?

You mean just under the license plate? It may work, but also think about how good it's going to look, because apart from this small issue the aspect of your setup is pretty good and I'd hate to give you any advice that will lead to you ruining it.

Thanks for the kind words guys. There are 2 imitation grill sections on either side in going to cut out and turn into real 'grill' for this very purpose, I've considered under the number plate, but there are obstructions in front of that in behind the rear bumper. Those grill sections however will allow air flow I think. It has proved effective already however, at the track last week I was consistently reaching speeds 10+kmh faster than previous times at the end of the main straight, with no power upgrades, and nothing else affecting my speed that I could think of... This is just shy of 200, so effective at high speed!

It's the middle of the winter there, I bet the ambient temps were a bit lower which are an undeniable explanation for what you felt/measured/saw.

Yeah, that's what I meant since it wouldn't be too noticeable (I think). But the idea of you just cutting the fake vents in the back bumper is a good one. Id put some kind of mesh in there though so you don't have two gaping holes back there.

No no not cut all the mesh out, just the gaps to turn it into actual mesh if that makes sense.
I'll post a pic when I do it, hopefully within the next week.

And done!

Looking from inside out

So I weighed the diffuser, coming in at 9lb.

That said, I had to remove this vibration damper to install it with weighs 5.4lb

Meaning by installing the diffuser I've added 3.6lb! Not bad :-)

Lol no idea why the gif I'd relevant? Haha. That is the finish from filing. It just goes stringy kinda. I gotta get some sandpaper onto it to smooth it out now.

That's not my priority though, I have 7 more diffusers to make for people!

sweet baby jesus? as in, holy shit, thats epic. Thank kinda thing. nm...

you might have to go with an exacto knife or something like that. I would think that it might act similarly with sand paper that it does with a file.

Haha lol ok I get it now :p

You may be right about the sand paper actually. I might try it for a little bit, but actually the knife may work better. Thanks

I was trying to look for info on diffusers, and I have a few questions.

Did cutting the vents in the back make a difference? I'm thinking it probably doesn't do anything.

Secondly, you took the slats off in the last post, did you just ruin them or it just didn't make a difference?
