| 235/55/18s are nearly 3" taller than 235/40/18s. They will also throw off your speedo by around 11% relative to 235/40/18s.

| Neutral : +1 score Just get higher performance tires with stickier tread compound in the stock size. Wider is not necessarily going to give you more traction, but will give you more unspring weight, which is not good. Spend a little more per tire and move up to good summer UHP, Max or Extreme grade.
