(Thread Starter) | Not Ranked : 0 score Here's some pics of some RX8's I painted myself. MGM is a tough color for wheels to compliment as everything except for black and silver tend to blend with the car but I didn't want to go Black or Silver so I went with a charcoal color. I think it gives enough contrast and is still able to have contrast against the tires being lighter than the tires. I'm a cheap ass so paying $200 or $300+ for powder coat was too steep for me if I can paint them on my own. Tires are Nitto NT-05's 235/40/18. Suspension is stock. I have plans in the future to get some lowering springs to lower it .5-1", but i will be putting in some Bilsteins at the same time so it will be some time to save up the cash for that. Paint is Rustolium's Metallic line of paint, color is "Black Night" with a matte clear coat. To go in more detail on the painting process, I will be posting in the how to section soon to help everyone out who are not in this section cause they bought a MS3 in some other fugly color besides MGM ![]() |
