Default NextMod front lip/rear spoiler extension review

So I've been waiting for nearly a fuckin' month for these two pieces to get to me and now that I finally have them I wish I hadn't bought these pieces of crap......

Nextmod front lip and rear spoiler lip

I hate to say this, but the quality of Nextmod's parts are pretty weak. This shit looks used too....

I'm currently in talks with NextMod to get a small refund due to the shotty job that was done to create these. I'm just waiting on my Nikkor lens to come in the mail today so I can take some really good high res pictures of the pieces and put them on the car for more pix to show that it doesnt fit just right.

Sure glad I saw this. I had seen another forum that was all praise about the place, so I was going to order the front and rear lips. Man, this post sure is making me think twice about it. Please let me know the result of the issue.

Wow, that looks like shit. I would just get a return label from them, send it back. Looks like a blemished piece to me.

Well, its pretty much over with by now. I will never buy from them again, thats for sure. You can read about the whole thing here on MazdasNW. It has NextMod's responses from ebay and the end result.

My final review: DONT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY ON THESE SHOTTY PARTS

Sorry to hear you bought from NextMod. The prices look great to people until you realize that it takes a lot of time and money to fix the retard craftsmanship.

Well then that just made my decision easy for me. Guess I will look into a different avenue. I have seen the AutoExe stuff floating around. I think they have it on the corksport site. I know it is more expensive, but if the craftsmanship is correct it looks like it would be worth it.

Just grind that cat-shaped blob off the rear lip and it should be fine.

I've found that it's better to buy these used because usually the first owner has done all the bodywork on them.

Just took this today, the di-noc is pretty water resistant. I also wanted to get a better picture with good lighting

hey i was refered by a friend from the regular mazda3forums....

i placed an order for skirts, front lip and rear skirt for my sedan.

took 2 weeks to ship it out to new jersey and when i opened the boxes the lip was in 4 pieces!!!! like WTF! the other parts didnt even fit at all. i made sure i had the correct items ordered. i got on the phone with peter and rachel and ripped them a new asshole about the quality it was shipped to me. no box... only bubble wrap and closed cell foam!
how can you ship something from canada to NJ like that?

short story.... they sent me all of the pieces again and the lip came damaged i emailed and called and they ignored it all. i finally called a friend up in canada and he drove over to NextMod and told them about the ordeal and they replied saying we didnt get any emails and phone calls. so while he was there still i called and got ahold of peter and told him to refund me 100% of this purchase due to shitty mold issues which was promised a 95% fitment. these had a 40% chance of fitting. i told him i will be sending your shit in the box back.

he credited me and i stomped the hell out of all of the skirts, and lip and re packaged them up and sent them back lol.

i went with BaySonR on ebay and havent had a problem yet!

side skirts and rear skirts arent pictured they are still in the paint shop..

Fuck man, I wish I got a full refund. I'm not completely sure im going to use the front lip at all, talk about a waste of money. It needs some serious work and is currently sitting in my music room collecting dust. I think when I get home I'm going to post this thread on the various other mazda forums to help spread the word on how shitty their prodcts are....haha, maybe I should email them a link to this thread.

Just to pile on...

Bought a the GV style lip from NextMod. Completely pitted, and cost me an arm and a leg for my body guy to sort it out for me and paint it. I emailed NextMod, and they told me tough luck.

I wouldn't recommend NextMod to anyone.

Hahah. You paid 70 for a front lip and are complaining it isn't perfect? Get a life.
Get the dg carbon lip for what is it, close to 400? Then complain when it's not perfect.

Pretty sure he meant the shipping was $70, not the purchase price.

while I agree with you, I dont believe thats a valid excuse to give customers such shitty quality product. Especially when this is not something you expect. If you look at their website, their "untouched" products look flawless.
All im saying is, as a manufacturer you have a couple of options, improve your quality with a bump in price, or be honest about the quality of your product.
while price is a pretty good indicator of quality, this isnt always the case, and it cannot be assumed that cheap parts will be this shitty.

people might not agree with this but, i was truly dissatisfied with nextmod, and im just saying I wouldnt recommend this to anyone either.

I CAN read, and you did not define that it was indeed only shipping you paid $70 for. But since that's the case, I reneg. This is how it is more often than not with these things guys. I worked in the body shop bizz for a while before I became a machinist. I've seen stillen side skirts come in a box as long as my arm all folded and creased. They need to be professionally prepped, painted and installed. Maybe it sucks that no one told you that, maybe it's written somewhere and YOU can't read. I don't really care to investigate any further, but this IS more often than not how you're going to find stuff like this. More so if it's urathane.

They're called "NextMod" because the money you were going to use for your next mod is going towards fixing their crap haha.

I dunno guys, all this bashing nextmod n stuff... I've seen tons of good reviews for them too. Maybe you guys just had bad luck =/ (although I agree, doesn't sound like they're that consistent).

But trust me, nextmod is 1000% awesome for us canadians that usually have to pay a fortune on import taxes buying shit from the states. I'm going to head over to toronto and pick my nextmod lip up in person over easter, i'll let you all know how it goes.

I too bought my lip from next mod, it was a total piece of shit out of the box... Luckily i had a friend that works at a body shop take care of it for me.. But he said he was embarrassed for me that i actually paid money for this thing. He spent hours fixing it, but it came out awesome..

For anyone thinking about buying anything from these guys expect to spend some money getting it ready to be painted.

I think streetunit or DGMotorsports sells the real deal and its made from a poly based material rather than fiberglass
