Smile TRZ Transmission Mount/ Mazda3online turbo inlet installed and review!

At 37K miles, I scored a nearly new TRZ transmission mount recently. Realized if I am taking that all apart for it,might as well do the inlet. Besides, the OEM is complete crap. Order made Friday, arrived Wednesday. I also ordered a new bolt form onlinemazdaparts.com for this, as I did not want to reuse the old one. Got that quick too.

This is what I ordered from Ken @ Mazdda3online.com/protegegarage.com: Mazda3Online :: ProtegeGarage :: MazdaRX8Online - Your Source for Mazda Performance

Here is a cell phone pic of it prior to install:
Very nice welds, good quality piece. Took a couple hours to get it all in. Breaks to BS, greet people who came over to do other installs on their cars, etc.

The TRZ Transmission mount went in pretty easily. Removal was cake. The engine and transmission shifted forward a couple inches, even with support from underneath with a jack and wood. Luckily, my little POS jack and a 2x4 with some guidance, got it lined up in a minute or so. A side note, my post-recall bolt was pretty loose, not hard to undo. Also, my mount had signs of where wheel hop was happening on one side, and cracks in the other side. Very well needed.

Inlet was next. The small hose from the inlet goes to a solenoid. The hose was essentially baked on,just used an Exacto knife, small slit, and screwdriver, it was off. Once I removed the one 10 mm nut holding it to the head, the thing flopped over, even with a fully tightened hose clamp onto the turbo That was completely loose on the turbo. Can only imagine the lost power...

Install went smooth. Left my ETS TMIC on, which made for a tight fit, but it got on. Air tools really helped in tightening the hose clamps. That was a quick install.

Put it all together, went for a drive. Review time of a 5 mile journey.

Vibes? Dash is fine, no creaks at all. Only vibes are at low rpm's, and in the pedals. Some cabin vibes, but they are not much. When in motion, I hear the transmission more, but it is not that bad at all. noise level is up, but also hearing it snarl as it accelerates is nice. Did a good acceleration run, and no more wheel hop at all! Grabbed and was on it's way.

Great mods to accompany my CPE CAI and ETS TMIC. My rear motor mount is CPE
I am sure I missed something, so feel free to ask any questions.
