Fully bolted guy on pump gas and an OTS map vs a cheap motherfucker with half the mods but a custom tune running corn... "fully" bolted guy gets walked. Half the mods people consider a "must" to be fully bolted do nothing for power in most cases. People with aftermarket bov/bpv's running <20 psi comes to mind. ... anyhow, just my opinion. I know that a lot of folks take some pride in being able to claim this title. lol

What mods perform better than others is not the issue. The issue is what qualifies as fully bolted. Also, upgraded turbo=BT with supporting mods or "fully bolted" Anyways...OP, either you ran a v6 with a fake badge, or he didnt try. Although I will say a bolted ms3 can run close to an 07-9 GT500. They were almost 4000lbs and only made about 450rwhp.

As a previous owner of a 08 GT500, I can say it most likely wasn't one. If you had a bt I would say yeah it could have been a stock one. Even if it was a stock gt500 with stock gearing (they aren't super fast) he would have still beat you pretty good. Cause even if you were at 300whp. His power/weight is much better Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

It's simple, man. The mani and turbo are both engine accessories. You can easily swap those out without having to tear apart the block itself. Why is this so difficult for some of you? Fully bolted means you upgraded every possible part you could without pulling the motor. Meth injection would also apply. What you've showed me is that there are way too many people falsely claiming fully bolted. Now, can we proceed with the mustang shit talking? | |

Unfortunately I sucked myself into the impression that fully bolted was intake, TIP, DP, CBE, FMIC/TMIC through previous incorrect statements. Makes more sense to include Mani along with others. BT, I assumed was beyond fully bolted and fully built is what it is. I think I will just go with "Got some shit done to it." |

Fully bolted is not an opinion. You're either fully bolted or you're not. Lets reference V8's really quick for this. Would you consider a heavily modded V8 with stock exhaust manifolds fully bolted? Of course not. You'd need a nice set of tube headers to finish that off. Well, our cars are no exception to this. Just because we have a turbo attached to our exhaust manifold doesn't mean we can automatically just dismiss it like it doesn't count. If anything, it's the most important part of being fully bolted. Upgrading your turbo and mani is the money maker. Next to a solid tune, it's what generates the most power. So, sorry to burst everyone's bubble, but the majority of you claiming to be fully bolted, are not. Just tell people you've got a bunch of shit done to it. That's all you have to say. If you're trying to win a pissing contest, then go in to detail. | |

| Not Ranked : 0 score Whatever happened to the term "BPU" (basic performance upgrades)? I remember the DSM and Supra guys used it a lot back in the day. Basically shorthand for intake/DP/exhaust (or I guess I/H/E for NA guys).
