Revolution Performance Motorsports Revolution Performance Manufacturing (RPM) was started by three Mazda 6 enthusiasts in early 2004 under a simple premise: to develop and manufacture new products for the Mazda 6 at an affordable price. We began to realize our purpose with the short throw shifter and gas hood lifter kits for that vehicle. Since then, we have added many new aftermarket products from well-known manufacturers and continue to expand to offer products for other vehicles with the goal of having the best prices and customer service on the 'net.

Default RPM Street Springs

We are trying to get RPM to make a new batch of street springs. We almost have enough people as they are requiring 25 people to make it worth their wild. We currently have 21 people so we are looking for 4 more. More info to come but these were priced at $230. There were some deals if you bought springs and shocks so I am not sure what will happen with that at the moment. Koni is running a 20% off special right now also, but I have not decided if I would go with Koni, or Bilstein. These are not the K-spec's made for the Koni shocks, which had slightly higher spring rates, but those only had a 0.5" drop front and rear.

Street Springs
Having analyzed the Mazdaspeed6 suspension, we determined that the ideal set of springs would provide a moderate drop while increasing the front spring rate by 18% to 330 lb/in and increasing the rear spring rate by 35% to 250 lb/in.

Spring Rates: 330# front / 250# rear
Approx. Drop: 1.1 inch front / 0.75 inch rear
So add your name:

1) Arinzeuno
2) Shaniqua
3) Delpharah
4) MATR6
5) 06Speed6
6) BCM06
7) RayDog26

I may be interested but would have preferred the K-Specs. How do these compare?

The K-Specs (K for Koni) where made specifically for the Koni Yellow shocks and their dampening range. Not many were made as these were like a trial run for RPM. They were replaced by the Sport and Streets. The Sports (still available) are the closest thing to the k-specs but work well with the stock shocks and the Bilstein HD shocks. The Streets (no longer available) were made to satisfy the demand for proper springs for the MS6 AND provide a moderate drop. The Sport springs are probably the best springs for pure performance while the Streets makes some compromise for looks.

The K-Spec existed before there were a good coilover choice (BC Racing). Think of these as coilover kit. You needed to get the springs and the Koni shocks at the same time.

I've had RPM sports for 3 years now and always said they were the best spring for the MS6. Never liked the streets because they drop the front too much compared to the ass and it doesn't look right on the car. The only complaint I really have with the sports is they are plain out too soft in the rear only. The K-Specs would have been the absolute perfect setup for the 6 ever. Wish I had went that way in the beginning when they were still available.

Yeah, the gap on the sports was even all around. RPM said 3/4, but mine settle about an inch in the end. The streets always slammed the front down lower and makes the rear look like it needs more. The K-Spec were also an even drop, but with higher spring rates which the heavy beast really needs.

I do remember yours looking good when we did them. If you look at the car in the first pic though they looked slammed in the front and almost no drop in the rear. That's how I've seen several peoples look after those springs. Maybe they changed them up a bit mid run and they came out a bit more even.

I fixed your statement for truth. All I did was a miserable job of keeping the downpour from flowing into the garage.

What's funny is the reason I went with these springs over the sports is because I saw a bunch of pictures of people with wheel gap just like what I ended up with. I do like how they don't drop the car too much and my wife wouldn't have even known they were on the car if I didn't say anything.

Holy necro post...

I do wish there were more spring options for the MS6 though...I would definitely buy a set of the RPM sports if they were still available.
