The logo on the fuel rail looks suspiciously like the SURE logo...

Nice FD. I've owned 2 of them and miss them although the rotary engine is definitely sensitive.

This was my latest one with only 79,000 miles on the body and 2000 on street-ported motor. Bought the car with a blown motor and pulled it myself with my Dad as a project.

Tuned by the famous Steve Kan. Only put down right above 400rwhp on 91 on a very conservative tune

I've thought about having Steve tune mine when it's done, but for every good review you find about him, there is an equally bad review, or word of caution. I need to take some time and sift through it and see what's more than just hearsay.

Very nice Chaste White is probably one of my favorite FD colors. 6266 should be sweet on that car. My friend with an FD is in the process of swapping an older BB T04Z out for a new Borg Warner S362SX FMW I believe and a new Adaptronic ECU. Maybe I missed it but what EMS are you using?

Edit: I see your using the PFC now... also....Vmounts rock

I think you will find that for every tuner out there. If you were closer to Texas I would say take it to Ari and Chris at Rotary Performance.

See, I'm not a fan of those CCW's or any similar. Never have been.

I'm more on the 'less is more' train honestly, for the money I love Rota Grids or the equivilent XXR's/

I will say that due to the offset required to run those 18x10's all the way around on the FD my friend (who's FD that is) cracked a front wheels inner piece. Can't argue with the performance of a 400whp 2700lb car with 285's on all 4 corners though

They've gotta be setup right. That car's sitting too high too, but... I've always been a wheel head so I'd probably go with some custom stepped 3pc COR wheels TBH.

Definitely not, I will be going for an FC in the future. One of my all time favorite cars.

Despite the price difference, I honestly like FC's bodies more than the FD's

My goal will be 400ish

I plan to get coilovers, but I reaaaaally want to do the suspension right. I've used a few different coilovers (Stance GR+, KW V2, KW V3) and I am really hoping for a set of Ohlins DFV. They are $3000 new though.

I also need to get swaybars before it goes any lower. I rub the fenderwells on hard corners at this height on the prokit.

Installed a Banzai Diff Brace the other day. Saw the diff bushings in bad shape, so i ordered powerflex diff bushings today. Should be able to launch it hard once those are replaced.

I put in the powerflex diff bushings. but not before breaking my old differential mount trying to get the old bushings out. Dont ask. Yes I was being ghetto.

So I bought another diff mount. Luckily a guy had one he was able to ship me. And he's close so I had it the next day. I also bought a press (no more ghetto). practiced pressing the bushings out of the broken mount. It worked well, but was easier since the mount was only a half a mount. when it was time to do the new mount, i had a hard time with the arbors to press the bushings out, so i tacked up a temporary arbor to use.

(not bad for zero prep on dirty scraps from the corner lol)

pressed out the bushings with ease (and a 1 and 11/16" socket):

and bam.

havent test driven it yet, but its all back together. now its got the powerflex diff bushings, and the banzai diff brace. should be able to launch it hard.

Lol, considering I'll probably never use that piece again, they'll suffice.

Next you need a sand blast cabinet and a powder coat oven. You can put them in all that extra garage space over by the band saw and pipe bender

The diff bushings are nice, but I recommend against doing many more bushings on a non-track car. I've ridden in an FD will full Delrin suspension bushings on stock suspension with only lowering springs and it was brutal, I can't imagine it with proper coilovers

Here is my best timeslip up to this point:

60' - 1.9721
330' - 5.5330
ET @ 594' - 7.9099
1/8 - 8.4470
MPH - 83.78

Wanted to get some solid runs in last night, since I'm going to make some big changes. Made quite a few runs between 8.4 and 8.5. Mostly 2.0x 60's. I think if I had a better clutch I could come off the line harder.
