Car is a beast. I really think a high 6 second pass is there without clutch slippage and another 1.5 60ft. Ill upload both vids to utube and link it.

I have done a few things:

TII differential
AEM Smart Coils (SakeBomb garage kit)
Running a D10 nozzle now
Added a line-lock

Went to the track, it was waaaay to hot. I couldnt make much happen. The added traction from a more legit burnout was more than I was able to adjust for in the few runs I made. Lost alot of mph due to the heat as well.

Also got a new ecu (adaptronic select), but havent got it running on it yet. it has alot more features than the powerFC, and is a much more modern logic. I'm excited to get it running.

Best run so far, the timeslip is posted previously on this page.

7.20 @ 97mph.

I didnt have anyone there the only time i've been since installing the line lock.

I probably wont go again until i get running on the new ECU.

I hope to have about 500whp pump gas, and run a 6.99 or better. having said that, that will get me sent home from the track, since i dont have a cage.

Ive done a 7.14 and 7.16 at a best mile per hour of 98.8. those times were done on the lower power level on that dyno. I cant wait to do some testing on the new tune.

hoping for 6's and over 100mph. i expect thats not a lofty goal at all.

Man alot has changed in this post. I'll work on an update.

Cliff Notes:

516whp, Semi P-Port Motor, 7.01@101mph
Lots of room to improve the power and track times on this setup too. would expect a 6.8x on a clean run with decent weather (7.01 was at 3500'DA)

I need an FD, always has been a dream car of mine. More specifically a Spirit R Type A. THis thing is gorgeous, I'm glad to see the route you have taken and maintained this thing. It is an amazing machine.

Turns out.... I went crazy. Have a built 20b on its way. Will be a while because we are in Germany for another year, but it will be there when we get back.

but not before I cracked into the 6's a few times.

Heres a 6.8 @ 104.7mph

its probably nearer to 600 than 500.

dyno'd a 550, brought it home, dyno'd at 515, corrected some things that needed correcting (like a iat pigtail open circuit causing ~3* timing pull), it should be between 550-600, The solenoid on the EFR just cant bleed enough boost to get it to hold enough. It really needs a mac valve. trying to hold 30psi on a 20psi wastegate it just cant do it. It can only hold about 24-25 by redline, but when it made 550, it was only holding 20psi.

Anywho. Gonna aim for 700-750 on pump gas boost on the 3 rotor. Probably an S480sx T4 with 1.25 turbine.

So I made some progress on this, but it may be some time before another update will happen. I had an impromptu trip to the US, and had a day to test fit some things. I needed to mount up the turbo so the guy making my manifold will know if his jig needs to be adjusted, which it will. The turbo sits a little high, and the hood cant close. I've gotta say I like the way it looks. Should be an easy adjustment for him. This is a borg warner S480sx with a 1.10 T4 housing.

I'm also going to have the intake manifolds powdercoated and the engine bay repainted before it goes in for the final setup.

I also got some other things sorted out. I'll be using a Haltech Elite 2500, and since it can, to clean things up I'll be going DBW with an LS3 throttle body. This will give also give me idle speed control via the ecu.

Not much rx7 love on this forum. Any updates with this thing? Amazing build. Curious, does the 3-rotor require a turbo that large or is it just needed with your intended power goals?
