Attached is both ATR for the 07-08.5 Speed 3 and 06-07 Speed 6. This is 1.7.3.0 which is compatible with V1.04 maps for the Speed 3 and V1.01 for the Speed 6. These incorporate FFS, LC and No longer do you need separate Fed/Cali maps. Cross calibration map sharing among cali/federal cars. 2009 Mazdaspeed 3 guys will need to direct download from Cobb.

I thought this had to be tied to a specific AP, or else it will just grey out the map on your AP and you wont be able to install it...which is why you need to wait for cobb to walk the dog, take a few shits, and blow gary sheenan before they send you a link.

Unless they changed that limitation in this version?

yeah i've tried to send my version of atr to someone before and any map they made on it was grayed out when they tried to put it on their AP.

Hmm odd, well since they merged the ca/fed, i guess until someone tries using the ATR i uploaded, we wont know. However, when i made the VMware Image for MSF ATR Race edition, people didnt seem to have a problem with that. it checks the license to your AP when you install it. If the download was that smart, then it would know i have a MS3 AP and not a MS6, which it originally sent me.

There is no difference between the MS3 and MS6 APs, they are the same hardware. I was using all 4 of the MS3 ATR versions (07-08 fed&cali and 09 fed&cali) and both of the MS6 ATRs with my AP. Cobb uses a HASP key that is partially generated from your AP serial number to tie ATR to your AP. I haven't tried your download links since I already have all 3 of the new ATR versions installed, but I wouldn't be surprised if they worked and didn't work. People can probably install and use the program, but any maps generated won't work with their particular APs.

These shouldn't work for others unless Cobb messed up and made them work for anyone. The last version I kept getting sent the wrong serial ATR and had to manually email em for another.

lol, well, I'm going to give this a shot tonight. I put in my request for the updated ATR on Friday at 11:30am....still haven't seen anything. I understand not getting it over the weekend but I figured it would be in my inbox by now.

Update 2/09/09: I apologize for the issues. Some have reported that the software is "linked" to only work with one AP serial num. This means you can install/use the software, but can't flash the maps to your ECU.

My MS3 ATR is at 1.8.0.0-11359, yours are the same correct? The digits after the '-' are the build, and they may change without the first 4 digits/revision changing.

All I know is that these worked for my newer AP unit (OBDII cable instead of USB cable + OBDII dongle) while the previous version didn't. I shared them here because TWICE i found myself needing the software on the spot. So I had to fill out the stupid form HERE, reschedule tuning, and wait for Cobb to send me the software.

Just FYI.This will only help people who already have gotten an ATR installer from Cobb, but just want to update or need to update to this newer 1.8 version for whatever reason.

If you go into the ATR folder in Program Files, you will see a file, license.ini. I assumed this was the file that 'tied' your ATR installer to your AP's particular serial number. So I copied this file to desktop, then uninstalled all my Cobb sofware and deleted the AccessPORT folder. I ran the new installer posted here, and when the install was complete, I copied the license.ini from my desktop over the new .ini created by this installer.

Loaded up one of my maps in the new build of ATR, and saved it out with a new name. Copied this to my AP, ran out to the car, and verified that the AP *will* let me flash the new map saved by the new ATR.

To be honest, I never tested it the other way, so all this trouble may not be necessary but at least we know there's a way to upgrade w/o waiting for Cobb, if you already have an older ATR version.

Maybe it won't work because of serial but i will try until Cobb download is fixed.

It wont work because of the serial. No way to pull the files off your old hard drive? Possibly physically pull the hard drive out of the computer and connect it to a new computer with a sata-usb connector? Something like this

I can send you the file if you still have your serial/registry file. But if you dont have your serial/registry file its worthless.
