Default XS Power Turbo Manifold Noob Q

I just purchased this the other night. From my understanding it's soul purpose is better and efficient air flow by pushing air back into the intercooler and air intake. So, I'm assuming that I will need BOV to release some tension and air, better fuel pump?, decent DP, and AP (let all my mods to work better). Anything else?

What the fuck did I just read?

Op the purpose of the manifold is that it's heavy. You put it in the trunk to aid traction.

There, I think I fixed most of your grammatical issues. Please write again so that we can discuss your problems further.

You seem not to understand the purpose of a turbo manifold at all, actually. The turbo manifold improves the exhaust flow rate from the head through the turbo, and then through the downpipe. The "air," as you call it, that flows through the manifold never enters the intercooler. Furthermore, there are very few reasons to run a BOV on this car, as the ECU is set up to run a BPV, and meters the air flowing through the system commensurately.

Actually OP you don't need any of that extra stuff. The Manifold will work better on it's own.

Has nothing to do with donating and everything to do with you lack of effort to seek out existing information and educate yourself before asking to be spoon fed information.

There are a bunch of threads about this EXHAUST or TURBO MANIFOLD. Most are about fitment and failed welds. Search for x2 mani and you'll find them.

Also, it is generally good practice to understand the basic idea of a part prior to spending hundreds of dollars on it. An exhaust or turbo manifold does not feed air into the intake side.

Please do not get butthurt and run away. Instead, run to go read more. Start with basics of turbo induction.

Not at all. I'm still learning my car every day. I think my friend said that getting an MS3 is more advanced than getting an Si (Depending on your perspective view on cars), at least from his experience and opinion. This is my 1st Mazda and Speed3. Anything is helpful, but trying to understand the guidelines and platform isn't so easy either. So, I can't get all this from the top of my head in 1 day to 1 month. So far, I've located the OEM manifold that's covered in heat shield, so this should be fun installing and mounting on.

Generally direct injection and forced induction will be harder to learn than an si, yes.

I'm glad you are trying to learn. Start in the general knowledge section under your gen. IIRC there are links to articles explaining everything from basic forced induction principals to how the mzr specifically is designed and operates. Start with learning how it works before you worry about how each part will help you.

Lastly, up your fucking search game man. Use Google if you need to. There seriously are a bunch of threads about this specific manifold.

Good luck.

I Agree with what these guys said. Do your research before you go slapping parts on your car or you will be zoom zoom boom in no time. An exhaust manifold should be way down the road for you. Sell it and use the money to start with the basics

So he is purchasing mods for a car that he has no clue what so ever what the part actually is or does.
I have a rats asshole i can sell you to use as a spare MAF Oring
Exactly. Who purchases performance parts for a platform they're admittedly clueless about?

I've had numerous turbo'd cars, and even though they all had FI in common they were all different in many ways.

Do some research, learn what works, and doesnt work well for this platform before spending money on shit you have no idea what it is or what it will do!!!

This site is one of the more informative sites you will find out there for most any platform. Not even vwvortex (which I thought was pretty good tech wise back in the day) can hold a candle to the knowledge that is on this board.

Air sucks into the intake, travels down the air intake pipe, turbo speeds the process of air suction, throws the air into the manifold and into the engine mixing with fuel. So far, that's what I've learned what this manifold does, it just gives it a better and efficient air flow.

I guess this is another good way for me to understand how my engine works.

Maybe you are confusing intake manifold with exaust manifold

That would be an Exhaust Manifold #1 . #2 - Have you researched that part for this platform? How it will benefit your setup? There are a ton of things to do to this platform well before an exhaust manifold, esp since you're still on the k04 but it's your money so...yeah enjoy

MAZDA3 MAZDA6, Mazda Speed 3 and 6 Turbo Manifold Header 321 stainless ss TIG ported XSPower, MAZDA3 MAZDA6, XS Power Inc.

This is what I purchased. I'm not installing it anytime soon, though, since there's a few other parts that I want before the actual installation begins. K04 was on my mind, but seeing that I'll never really mess with the turbo myself, until I feel confident messing around with heavier and sever parts of my engine, and further educating myself with the MZR engine. I'll just set that thought aside. I guess I can always bring it to a tuner instead, yeah?

Wow seriously sell the manifold. You need to learn a lot more before even thinking about a car mod.
