These basically just replace the rearward inner front lower control arm bushing, so there's really no worry about compatibility issues with springs/coilovers.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say that it looks like Whiteline had a brain fart. The caster correction is the for both gens, as well as the front sway bar. I think we are just fine.

Bad news guys,
I spoke to Whiteline and this part WILL NOT work with the gen2. They are developing one for the gen2 now. Something about the bracket being different. He said he would get me more info on it (waiting on a email reply)

I got the ALK in and opened it up just check it out... It's a nice piece. A lot bigger than it looks in the pic.. Sucks it won't work on a gen2!

I have never installed ALK but it's not that simple. I am almost certain you have to remove the control arm and press out the stock bushing.

@Etipp98 yes it's only for the front.. No need for having a ALK for the rear

finally got a response from Whiteline about the ALK

"unfortunately KCA428 will not suit GenII. The bushing is the same however the housing is different. We do have plans but development and testing means it shall be a few months away."

details on the install? did you have to press the bushings? What kind of performance characteristics have you noticed from the ALK?

yes, Im running bils and so are a few others.. There are a few with koni's as well.. check the last few pages on the swift thread

Did you get yours custom valved like you were talking about? How much did it run you total and where did you order them from?

not custom valved. got them used. Might get them custom valved later down the road if I get more into tracking the car. They are less than $100 a corner to have them revalved by bilstein I believe

This was done at a shop, If I had a lift and two transmission jacks I would have tackled it myself. This was the first thing I have ever had done at a shop for a good reason, it took them an extra 2 hours from what they quoted me. They said the downpipe was in the way for the fsb removal/install.

As far as how it feels, taking corners are done without a breeze ,steering is much stiffer and doing 2nd-4th wot logs are more planted and the car doesn't rise nearly as much as it used to with my v3's. Torque steer is almost gone as well.

The WALK is a must for keeping power down, almost as essential as upgrading motor mounts imo.

Not 100% sure myself. I thought I read something about the anti-lift portion being adjustable. There should be a spot for an allen wrench, it turns the bushing to make the adjustment..I think...

So I tried the WALK on my 07/09 built gen2 and no dice. The mounting holes on the gen2 are about a 1/2-3/4" (I didn't measure) further apart then the gen1's.

Confirming @Celestspeed3 the WALK will not fit Gen2's. The Gen1 and Gen2 swaybars mount completely differently. I looked at using Gen1 mounts for the Gen2 but the necessary holes do not exist in the Gen2 subframe. Also the WALK flanges are not long enough to safely mill out for the extra length needed to mount to the Gen2 subframe. The center line of the bolt would be right on the edge of the WALK flange.

Whiteline simply needs to lengthen the flange about 3/4in. on each side to make these Gen1/Gen2 compatible.
