Default Sonic Tuning Coils Installed

I have the rear slammed to its lowest setting, and definitely rubbing on the back so I'm getting my rear fender rolled.

I am running 18x8 +35 varrstoens w/approximately -2.5+ camber on rear, I maxed out the front cambers lol. only rubbing on the rear.

over all ride is comfortable i just cringed a little bit because when i hit rough roads the rear rubs.

getting my fenders rolled this coming thursday.

I stopped there. You could have done the same if not lower with Racelands for far less.

thank you for your 2 cents sir. I only did one adjustment so I will raise it as soon as I install a cat back.

no, I had them done locally for $180 for the set. they look nice, too many people has the black on black theme. I may change them to a bright purple or bright green.

I'm really really curious as to what the reasoning was to spending damn 4k on wheels if you purchased brand new. Imo if you're spending 4k on wheels you should be driving something other then a speed3 ha

That's the lowest setting? Doesn't look any lower than mine. Measure from the ground to the top of the wheel wells for me please.

Actually they are. A brand new set in his size and offset with our size hub machined since they do that for you is a $1024.00 a wheel on avg from what I found. So yes they are 4k for the wheels alone thank you... 3500 actually since they give you a discount at checkout out

Okay, yea. I chopped that up pretty well. And i guess i was checking out some fake varrstoens because i was looking at what i believed were these same wheels for right at 1k for set. Or i didn't see the "per wheel".
Oh wait here's that wheel for under 1k for the set. Tad different specs but nothing different to make up 2500. So, therefore im right as well as you.

Either that's per wheel like I just said and they would still total 3800 for 4 or those are FAKE. We are only discussing REAL Varrstoens here

This just blew my mind. I didn't realize the cheap ones were fake considering it is almost a direct knock off of a te37.

Speaking of which am I the only one who would only have volk, bbs, fikse, kinesis, ssr or some other select few names on my wheels if I am dropping that kind of change?

That being said I abide by the rule that your wheels shouldn't cost more than 10% of the sticker price on the car...to each their own though.

Edit: I am right, all the sites that sell them sell them as sets of 4, read the text, that is total price for a set not a per wheel price. Cheap knockoffs are still cheap.

Varrstoen wheels are like 1k for a complete set. I'm pretty sure what you added to cart is 4 sets of wheels....

I would put some BBS but I might just end up curbing them so yeah. no.. besides, I don't see the point putting a set of 4k wheels on a 20k car.

it's funny how this thread turned into a wheel pricing debate.

I made this thread to thank the 2 people that helped me in the forum by providing information and the vendor that provided support, so in the future, people who may have questions can talk to those who was able to help me greatly.

and then you got all these fegs acting high and mighty, unless you're doing track every weekend, f.y.i. at end of the day, you're driving the same car brand as the other guy.

I paid 7 bills for my set. guy I bought it from owned a shop that was moving from AZ to CA so he got rid most of his inventory.

once again, thanks to everyone who helped me through the install.

and for everyone who has nothing better to do, don't break your keyboard.

Lol the things that happen when one person is wrong and someone corrects them. Then they feel a need for defense because they are clueless on some matters.

Enjoy your coils man you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for clearing that up. I asked because this is not the first time I have read comments eluding to these not being as stiff as I had imagined. I.E people running around at full stiff settings for DD.

lol. I think its because the people that have their setting set to stiffest for DD have their ride height at its lowest.

my ride height is just set to remove the gap. the rears are rubbing because of my off set and I'm new this is my first ever coil over set up and I didn't realize how to adjust the rears until I put on the wheels.

I'm having my rear fenders rolled tomorrow and then ill adjust it to the stiffest setting. but with what it is now, the car feels glued to the road.

How are those coils holding up at that height? Mind giving a review?

I don't know much review I can give but if you want an idea on how it feels to drive it here are some vague general info lol:

when the ride stiffness is set to medium, (i go by counting the clicks, i forgot how much) it's comfortable and feels stiffer than stock but you don't get the bouncey feeling. I've been on it that settings for 3k and it was great.

Then i switch to the stiffest setting, you feel everything on the road, the slightest bump but the car feels like its glued to the ground even on the tightest turns. I don't do track days so I can't really give any kind of good review but I like it so far, the lady doesn't like the stiffest setting though.

I would recommend it for sure if you're doing coils on a budget for daily drive and the 'occasional' track day.
