AccessTuner Race issue

Hey i know this is super newb or maybe i do have a problem, yea i tried to search for a general answer didn't see anything.

I can't get Accesstuner Race to find my AP to pull data logs. It did work earlier today when i first installed it! i've checked all cables unplugged and plugged in all day still nothing. Accessport Manager picks up just fine - anyone else had this issue? When it tries to pick up the ap for the datalog, the ap shows the gears like it's connected to the computer. Then it says it can't make the connection to cycle the ignition? Here's the log that it shows

BTW accessport manager connects 100% fine. Also installed race by it's self on a laptop and still the same issue. What's wrong here?

Use AP manager to pull the logs from the AP then open them in excel. That is what I do . . .

To clarify, what ATR is thinking you are doing is plugging a computer to the AP while the AP is connected to the car. That is not what you are trying to do, is it?

No sir, I'm sitting in my house and its not connected to anything other than a computer. My computer runs vista and the laptop is XP if that makes a difference. They both bring up same error, my wife has the car at work right now. Going to try hooking it to the car then to the PC.

Only reason I don't like the excel style is that it bunches everything together. I know I know super newb lol. This is my first week with AP other than this I'm loving it.

Its the wife's car its a long story but its mine on the weekend. After the Mazda is payed for going back to my roots of a 2jz sc300 anyhow, that's page did nothing. Already stated it runs, just can't pull datalogs. I guess ill have to cope with excel, thanks guys next topic will be to bug everyone on tips for tuning.

tip for tuning, 1st tip, read @Abilor guide to noobs, then, read it again..and again...then maf cal...then see if it's working...if so, continue on to next step in the guide, after reading it again of course, if not...well...it's her car anyways...

If your shit is all jumbled up in excel, find the text to columns command in the top bar.
After you find it, it will walk you through.

It downloads as a .csv file, meaning Comma Seperated Values.

Each column is seperated by a comma, and after using the text to column command, excel will recognize the commas as columns.

Yep I got my excel straight last night did a few logs and come Back looked at everything with abilors guide and making refernce. I still don't understand a few things so ill post back in here. Also going to check out Cobb's website I know they have a list on how to tune with atr also.

Rfinkle2 thanks for stepping in. Only been on these forums for a few weeks and I already look up to u.

There are many good guys (tooslow10lol being one of them) who have done their tuning homework and post when they can.

Once you have the chance to go through the process of reading and tuning your car, you'll be in the same spot I am (@ that point, we'll know about 1/10th of what some of the other guys know lol).

Oh yea I know exactly what you mean. Reading abilors guide gets me excited but starting off the bat on how to tune the maf confuses the shit outta me.

I'm the kinda person that could read it 32 times and could repeat it but not have a clue what it meant until I went and tried it. Lol, winter in my state is harsh so ill have plenty of snow days to play with tuning and getting tips.

Last nights logs went really good tho I would like to turn up the boost and turn my afr up a little seems like my target was 11.4 on ots tune. Ill post log when I get home.
