Default Tune needed only for full TBE?

I was looking into getting the corksport cbe. I know it's best to get your car tuned with a full tbe so I was wondering if you just get the cbe if you need a tune?

Would I need anything else though because I also read that you might want to get an upgraded fuel pump? Or just the cbe and I'm good to go?

not very familiar with the fuel pump problems that have been going on but IMO if ur gonna spend that much money on the TBE and tune you can go on and afford the SRI FMIC RMM and Fuel Pump

Dude, save your money and get a test pipe and res delete. I have it and it sounds great.
You'll only need a 3" exhaust if you are fully bolted and tuned, the 2.5 inch flows just fine for minor mods.

I got what you're saying now, I'm kind of new to this
stuff and the car is two months old so I'm concerned
with warranty voids....what kind of test pipe do you have? Would it be better to get a rmm test pipe and bov?

NO BOV.....car recircs, you need a bpv. I have an HKS bpv, Corksport intake and inlet and the combo sounds great. You can really hear the "pshhht" noise between shifts.
I also have the Corksport test pipe. I like their stuff but $750 is a lot of coin for little to no gain. My res delete and test pipe were $200, the money you save can get you an ETS top mount. If you decide to go with major mods or a big turbo down the line you can sell the test pipe and then get the exhaust.
You can stock out the test pipe and no way will a res delete affect your warranty.

Ok cool that makes sense but what about a hybrid like the turbosmart dual port that recircs and vta's? Worth the extra coin or just go with the bpv for recirc only? As far as the mount I'm goingto wait and get a front mount later since it's already intercooled....so now it's bpv rmm test pipe and res delete, all of which don't touch the warranty....

YOU DONT WANT TO VTA.....CAR WILL RUN LIKE SHIT.......it's all been discussed before. like I said, get an intake and the recirc noise will be loud. You don't really need a new bpv, the stocker is fine. I got the HKS cheap, otherwise I would have left it alone.

Don't bring your car to a dealer with mods on it, even minor ones, unless you have a cool service manager. There is a thread on the forum somewhere about mod friendly dealers. If you have a problem Mazda can and will deny your warranty claim because they are dicks.
The tmic is an easy on and off mod and has a definite gain. I don't have one yet but I will soon as I can get some kind of tune for the car, either Cobb Ap or Hypertech.

Dude. Stop pushing to get a BOV! BPV or keep the stocker.. The stocker holds just fine.. I had mine holding 20PSI when I was servicing my Forge, the only difference is that with the Forge boost comes on much faster but that is sort of a downside in city driving because it makes your car less smooth in between shifts if you don't drive it right. If you get a BOV.. you're going to get some weird shit you don't want.

If you want.. just get a ETS upgraded TMIC.. RMM definitely.. test pipe.. and I wouldn't even do the res delete, it's a small pain in the ass for your stock exhaust to be louder.. when your stock exhaust already sounds pretty decent. I got a pretty good deal on my HKS which is why I went that route but that was literally the last upgrade I did.. You really don't end up with any more power with a CBE.

+1 on tuning solution. With what you have on your car right now.. I would want to actually tell you to just get the AP and don't even bother with any of the upgrades minus the RMM specified.. You'll really be astonished at how different your car feels and how much power you'll gain from it. Plus, it's the most hidden mod from dealers.

It's more of a matter of what fits around 650$ total budget....I don't yet see a need for a new intercooler I'd rather wait and get a front mount rather than drop 600 just to replace a stock one....so with the budget in mind the rmm from su is 150 and the 150-200 for a test pipe I have like 250-300 to spend....like I said I'm new and anxious with this shit, so try to excuse me for being naive haha

For $650 I'd get a Cobb AP & a RMM.. Seriously, don't bother with the TP for now.. You won't feel the gains. You'll feel a TON more gain just from the AP, trust me..

But doesn't that mess with the ecu? I can't void my warranty or i wouldn't consider anything but the AP

$650 i'd get an intake, RMM, TP, res delete... that'll still give a few bucks to throw at something else still. RSB or something.

Pat's car sounds great with TP and res delete btw, if you want sound, you can't go wrong with that. TP has small gains, just makes the car sound much better.

I have a cpe Sri already and their turbo inlet pipe....I'm going to order their 60 duro rmm....I was now thinking to stick with that, get the jbarone ssp and rally armour mud flaps(maybe)....for the TP, do I need a high flow cat to pass emissions?

Yeah it just switches the map in your car. It won't void your warranty because if you are concerned you can uninstall it when you go to the dealer and they'll never know.. Whereas any other mod you'd have to spend way more time removing than a map.. It takes literally a few minutes. And that.. will give you more power than any other mod we're talking about here.. Easily 20+whp..

Don't pay for the install...
Suspension isn't that tricky.
All you should have to pay for relating to that besides parts is for an alignment.

+100 on the res delete + test pipe.. that shit only costs like $200 and makes the car sound like mating silverbacks.. and you'll want a high pressure fuel pump before you do TBE n AP..

i would get a full DP and do a res delete. you should be fine with that even with a intake. your fuel pressure should still be in good range. its when you add an AP on top of that you need a pump

test pipe can be free flowing, it doesn't throw any codes so unless they knew your car was missing the oem pipe it's no problem. I passed inspection with it.

lol... tom, your tune is still rich as hell, the flames prove it... forgot you had a AP though
